  1. It's ManU though, which will probably be one of the 5 most played teams.
  2. Would this endanger your seeding should you fail to clinch the top spot in your group? EDIT: Seems unlikely, not that many second tier Euro teams above you.
  3. Isn't Shola due his too? Pretty sure I read that on here months ago.
  4. 50k for a reserve keeper's testimonial That's what I envy from English football.
  5. Hierro got 1 in 3 while playing as holding mid for Spain, Lampard's club record is better though.
  6. Still think that Eden Hazard has to be one of the best footballer names of all time. Also a Pokemon.
  7. Not even remotely funny. Really down about this whole thing. The guy is running football for me at the moment. To be honest, I love having footballers from my club in the WC. I used to live vicariously through the likes of Romario or Rivaldo when Spain was utter shit in this thing.
  8. Those pictures always remind me of when he was promoted to the senior squad. Greasy haired, injury-prone, short and lithe winger with lots of fancy moves. He was soooo Argentinian Too squeaky clean nowadays.
  9. I think he just meant to say he would face the injury "with a clear mind", not to let it depress him, etc... and failed at language.
  10. He's always refused to answer/dodged the question. Quite amazed that Zlatan still carries such a huge grudge against Pep after just one year working together
  11. I'm aware that far worse footballers will be in it, but the thought of Shola Ameobi playing in a World Cup
  12. The thought of that NUFC team in their primes... easy to forget how many class players you've had. Tino Asprilla can go to hell though
  13. Messi's boyhood hero http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ4hBw7InsVoOlsi3cvzAunztw3lACvNA35zVHcfOTtORoz80YfMg He seemed pretty indifferent when we played them in the CL last year, dunno if he's still got something for the top level.

To be honest, if Florida is indeed infested by retired New Yorkers, I don't think I could find a place more loathsome to be in.

I had an excuse, it was for work! There's loads of video/film infrastructure around Orlando and Tallahassee. Mate of mine was forced to live 6 months in Miami while working for Univision, I hopefully avoided that since I still worked from Spain at the time.

I've never been to South Florida, I admit, but the time I spent around Orlando-Tampa for work it seemed a vibrant place for sports. Also spent some time in Tallahassee, but well, that's an entirely different sports universe.
  17. Aye, it's not like people like Isco, Thiago, De Gea, etc... who've been through the same "ivory towers" didn't play a blinder in the same tournament. It's your fucking job to motivate your players, Pearce.
  18. What's the proper refereeing for this? IIRC the ref can't do nothing if external objects/people disturb the match (like that beach ball in the Sunderland-Liverpool game) since he can't send them off or award a penalty.

7-4? f*** off yanks, you aren't allowed these scores in this sport. So is the expansion to Orlando looking good then? Ridiculous that the MLS hasn't put a team in Florida after Miami/Tampa folded.
  20. Just noticed that Carlos "1000 clubs" Aranda left Granada in deadline day for Las Palmas. Lasted half a season this time He has the record for most number of top flight clubs played for in Spain. Pretty talented player actually (you don't get that many chances otherwise), but he could fall out with an empty room.
  21. No idea, it was an off-the-cuff comment from our president. I suppose it was to gauge the popularity of the players, and it would have been weird to leave Messi out even if the result was obvious.
  22. According to a poll revealed today by our president, 98% of Barça's members are "delighted" to have Messi at the club. I wonder what drug the remaining 2% are on.
  23. I suppose he's just meant to add strength and power upfront, which is nowt bad to do when your other strikers are Anelka and Vydra, they certainly aren't looking to him as their goalscorer. They are in a relegation scrap anyway, can't be too picky. It's still a bit ridiculous to have Victor Anichebe as your record signing, but that's just a sign of the flux of money into the PL.
  24. I'm torn regarding the stadium's future. For starters it's f***ing Camp Nou. My dad's dad took him there the day it was inaugurated, and my dad took me there when my feet still dangled from the seats. Too many things happened in that ugly slab of concrete to just tear it down and pretend it's allright. But at the same time if a new stadium is needed to take the club forward, clinging to the past is not a good thing. The problem is that given the way it was built, there's little capacity to adapt the stadium to modern needs, since a lot of the inner space is needed for support and stairs (the stadium doesn't have external towers), and apparently if we try to f*** too much with the structure it's just better to tear it down. We'll see what proposal the board puts forward.
  25. Also, a second year in Spain would have qualified him for citizenship.
