  1. Well, that's amazing. Way to go, at least.
  2. I don't know, it's true that Brazil are dominating right now but Libertadores has always been pretty wide open. You have had a Paraguayan in the final and some weird 4-year old Peruvian team even made the quarters.
  3. With so much money entering the Brazilian league, it's hard to see how they aren't going to pull out from the rest of the continent, particularly with the Argie league being in such a sad state. Still Mineiro pretty much limped to the finish, so it's not that Brazilian teams are all that all-conquering yet.
  4. If you cherry-pick a little more he's the only one to have won WC, CL, Libertadores *and* the Ballon d'Or. Legend, anyway.
  5. Fixed. I spent like a good two-three minutes looking for what you fixed from his post. It's too early in the morning.
  6. So he'll remain in England and piss off the only set of fans that has gone to crazy lengths to defend his behavior That's going to be fun.
  7. It's the highest selling 2nd kit in the story of the club.
  8. Not a single member of the senior team in our second half lineup
  9. Messi's mate + our board just won't buy another one for whatever reason.
  10. Really, why did anybody schedule our first friendly to be against Bayern, at a time where we'd be without all Spanish or Brazilian internationals? It's just fucking suicide
  11. Roberto to Atlético. Very good keeper to take over Courtois when he leaves.
  12. There's a dearth of affordable Spanish FWs, though. And I'd face similar problems if I shifted money from midfield. There isn't that much to choose from. Will probably take out Negredo for Soldado if it goes through.
  13. Rule Hispania: GK: Robles, Adrián DF: José Enrique, Monreal, Rangel, Garrido, Cuéllar MID: Navas, Cazorla, Arteta, Mata, Hernández () FW: Negredo, Aspas, Deulofeu Will rework it if Soldado signs for Spurs. Would love to sneak Azpilicueta too, if it looks like Mou will start him. Afraid none of my keepers might be first choice, might be forced to make room for De Gea.
  14. I'm going to try and make a competitive team with Spanish players only this year.
  15. You know, I didn't discover that Sunderland had signed Altidore until I registered for the Fantasy League three days ago
  16. Thought you'd signed that Argie bloke Won't be here until next week.
  17. I expect a pretty nasty raping today. Given what they did a few months ago, the fact we are managerless, and that all the Spanish and Brazilian internationals are still on holidays, just nothing good can happen today
  18. By the way, lots of talk over here that the Madrid-Napoli transfers have inflated fees to hide payouts to the players. According to the "reports" 1) Madrid sells player to Napoli 2) Napoli offers a salary within their guidelines, which is lower to what the player wants. 3) To circumvent this, Napoli pays an inflated fee, and Madrid stumps up the difference in wages. I have seen them outside of the usual Barça press, which will just run anything to make Madrid look slightly bad, so I give them at least some resemblance of truth. And to be honest, those prices are way too outside any sensible valuation of those players. According to the reports, Madrid would have paid Albiol €4m out of the €11m transfer fee. No other figures from the other sales have surfaced.
  19. You should have signed him and Delfouneso together. Pair them upfront.
  20. More misspellings... (the rightmost shirt) http://estaticos01.marca.com/imagenes/2013/07/23/futbol/futbol_internacional/espanoles_mundo/1374597705_extras_noticia_foton_7_0.jpg Was bound to happen with that name, he should just go by "Gerard"
  21. Completely agree one of the reasons Higuain has struggled at Madrid was because the bigger Ronaldo's influence got the more his space was limited. Same with Bale and Adebayor but on a lesser scale. Would Adebayor ever be capable of replacing even half of what Bale offers though? I would be surprised. Not saying that just that Spurs would need to get a forward of the type Deuce described to get the most from the team. Just buying a goalscorer wouldn't work. Soldado's pretty fluid isn't he? Would he be a good fit for them? He really doesn't have anything to his game other than goals, but as a mobile striker he's as good as it gets. He's extremely smart on the pitch too.
  22. I don't know. Spurs always flatter to deceive me. They look good, but somehow there's a fundamental lack of substance to their attacking play, that's why they need such a battering ram like Bale. I'm not sure just a mobile striker would do.
  23. Messi would improve Spurs immensely too.
  24. To be frank, it looks like a clerical error to me. The registration at his old school makes him 29, but every other official registry says he's 27. Now that we are on this, a Barça staffer told me once that Ronaldinho did lie about his age, and that's why he declined so early. I have never heard about this ever again, so it's probably BS. But conspiracy theories are fun.
  25. Almost €40m for Higuaín man, a combined €60m for the lot of Albiol/Callejón/Higuaín. Benítez might as well just have wired the Cavani money to Madrid's bank account and be done with it. f***ing madridista c***, why couldn't Guardiola buy, say, Sánchez for €50m
