Romário?

Just had a talk with an Atlético fan in another forum, who was crowing that the team was "black-free" after selling Thomas. After I pointed to Diego Costa, he told me that "he isn't black" and that I was a racist. I'm so confused now.

To be frank, even while I'm happy of regulations like these (We have similar in Spain), from a neutral standpoint I don't understand what's so important about international football for a society that it *must* be shown in free to air. Panem et circenses comes to mind. -
Over here they say it's a hazing.
-
Aye, we with a crashing economy and a dysfunctional league we have loads of clubs that absolutely need to sell to survive. And it's not like 10 years ago, where there were hardly examples of Spanish players being successful in England.

Hope Mineiro pulls it back, really want Ronaldinho to win the Libertadores Two-leg finals are so oldskool too.
-
At that price you should have been in for him, he's Sevilla's hottest prospect since Navas. Lots of talk that he likes partying a bit too much though, which might hinder his promise.

Technically FIFA can ban players that refuse to be called up. I expect most FAs to quietly accept FIFA's bidding. But I really can't see clubs accepting this. Not in the slightest. -
Always had Ginola down as a right footer. This He's the only Premier League footballer I've seen take a corner with one foot, then take another with the opposite. I think he's brilliant, can only see him being better next season too with Wilshere being able to take some of the creative load off and linking up with him. It's been rubbished by the Atleti owner and Arsenal btw. Small technicality, but Cerezo isn't the owner, just the chairman. And I say that because it wouldn't be the first time where chairman and owners go separate ways in transfer deals

Best Spanish tall striker, until we see what Llorente does at Juve. He's come leaps and bounds this season, too, growing in confidence and carrying Sevilla on his back. I still don't see the point of paying so much for him when you've got Dzeko in your books, but we'll see.

Such massive FIFA has shot his own foot with this; clubs don't actually give a fuck about international tournaments and I can see them showing him the finger. -
SI should release a patch, this save is getting way too unrealistic.
-
They did a deal in 2012, to keep him for 12/13 season and help them get into the Champions League and then they would let him leave. Ridiculous that you have to "make a deal" with your own player after just one year of his contract. Football nowadays
-
Spanish press is quoting Mou denying all of this and saying that Mata and Luiz are not for sale.
-
Lots of rumors in Spain that Atlético have bid for Cazorla. Immense signing for them if they pulled it off. A creative forward/attacking mid is exactly what they need. I just can't see Arsenal selling though.
-
David Luiz is part of the deal though. Chelsea should add 10m more.
-
His arse, probably.
-
Granada's ST campaign posters: Undecided whether they are awesome, awful or awesomely awful. Definitely love Real Madrid's rendition as an evil whipped cream viking though.
-
:'( Ah well, we have just bought Neymar.
-
Messi bulked up, lost speed, and became the world's best. Increased core strength and balance helped him immensely. Every player needs something different.
-
Wonder where he could go? We aren't in the market for a striker, Florentino Pérez might be tempted to get another trading card for his galàctico collection though. Any chance of another English team picking him up? Can't see him going to Chelsea or City, Arsenal can't probably afford him.

Our DOF as admitted they had not told Vilanova about Thiago's clause in case he didn't play enough games. Fucking amateurs
-
Vilanova has confirmed other clubs' offers for Cesc but that he has "talked with the player and he told me that his desire is to stay and succeed at Barça".
