Well, he can't finish for crap to be frank But he's more dynamic and all-action than our usual lot of tippy-tappers. Might add something interesting to the side; I do look forward watching him.

Granada played themselves the other day in a friendly, they just love fucking up our minds
-
We play Vallerenga later, still without our ConfeCup players and still without manager (although it seems he'll be in attendance). What a shitty preseason.
-
Based on his performances for a substantial time now, why would anyone? He needs a manager who understands his limitations. I think it's more a matter of understanding them himself. He tries too much to be the hero whenever I've seen him.
-
100k/w in the C'ship I bet that could pay almost the entire starting XI of some of the teams there
-
They could if we don't buy him outright. But then they will risk pissing interested clubs off and deal with the risk that he's found guilty and the investment in him going tits up. Reckon they will go along with his release clause fee. Most likely a buyout clause will be written in the loan contract, surely?
-
Nice to see that there's definite interest from NUFC and you've made a bid, was bummed when you missed on him since I think it'd be a brilliant addition to your squad, and has already proven he can do business the PL

Pizzi suspiciously transferred to Benfica at the same time that Roberto is supposedly signed on a free. Word is that both footballers are actually owned by third parties and the sale was necessary to turn a profit for them regarding Roberto. Poor Pizzi, he's actually a quite decent footballer but I can't think of any other player that has been part of more shady transfer deals in the past two years.

Real Garcilaso man, they even spent a grand total of 5 minutes designing the badge: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/44/Escudo_del_Real_Garcilaso.png/200px-Escudo_del_Real_Garcilaso.png 4 years later, Libertadores quarter-finalists. It's just unbelievable

I'll put it this way, the space that tabloids occupy in UK is filled up by sports rags in Spain. Sensationalist partisan bullshit most of the time. Except that we don't get tits in them and at least they don't talk about politics. Of them, Marca is The Sun. They aren't Real's mouthpiece, though, it doesn't work that way. They are a Real Madrid rag, but they try to influence and meddle in Madrid's policy with their articles and made up crap. Most Madrid's presidents would have erased Marca from the earth if they could. Their levels of bullshitting are staggering, though, particularly in the TV network they run. It's almost 1984-esque, if we print it then it's true. What they are amazingly great at, is at printing bullshit that their audience wants to believe in. Like this Bale thing.

Wasn't referring to us; I used quotes. After "like a new signing" and variants of "fuck off Pardew" that's probably the second most used sentence in this forum.

Del Nido confirms Gameiro's fee as €7m. Bargain if he goes back to his pre-PSG form. "We should have been in there"TM

Amazing

The Marca bit was cringeworthy. What a tool. What was it?

It surprises me because our board has insisted today that they talked to Cesc and he doesn't want to leave (and he himself rubbished it earlier this summer when the first links to ManU appeared). You don't engage in this kind of public chase unless the player's interested, are you?
-
Moyes has been strangely too vocal about things since he took over, I guess he wanted to put on a strong profile right off the bat but might backfire on him. Comments on Rooney were really clumsy and if they don't land Cesc he will look silly after being so determined about it.
-
Where have they been playing Cesc? Wing or deep-lying #9 Thing is that Cesc had two great spells on the left, where we also played some of the best football of the past two years, and Guardiola/Vilanova stubbornly stuck with that, as a way to play Xavi/Iniesta/Cesc together. But it makes us way too flat. I'm intrigued by our new manager, though, it's hard to predict exactly what we'll do.
-
Not gonna happen unless ManU get really crazy about the offer. €50m and I can see our board start to having doubts. We could get us Gündogan for less than that. The lone silver lining of Thiago leaving is that Cesc will play more in midfield, where he should always be.
-
Linked with Verthongen, Kompany and a couple Argies in the endless "which CB will it be?" merry-go-round at Barça.
-
There's no way outside of the crazy oil people that anybody will pay €120m for a player. That's just the press being the press. [famous last words]
-
I just love the way he's holding a cig in the first photo. Going in style Amazing scenes.
-
So Froggy knows, Thiago has denied ever being contacted by ManU.
-
Assistant manager. He's not really Assistant manager but "assistant of the manager" if you know what I mean. Ancelotti has brought Clement with him. People that I know that have dealt with him tell me he knows quite a bit about this football lark, but that he's an awful, awful communicator. He wants to become a manager but that can easily hinder his success. I can see him being appointed RM manager in the next 4-5 years, they will be due a Messiah appointment in two managers' time.
-
Give him time, Benzema's still growing.
