  1. Simeone's new salary is going to be €15m. That's gonna vault him into the top 3 highest paid managers for sure.
  2. Poor Villa. This was supposed to be his game.
  3. Source is Sport. Ignore it. Don't doubt Coutinho is disappointed, but he isn't an idiot.

Your midfield had no guile whatsoever against Slovakia, just good ole fret. Looking at the roster, there's not many options in there that could bring that. England really needs Wilshere to remove his head from his arse end.
  5. Esto Esta Bien Totally stealing this
  6. Simeone signs a new contract with Atlético, running until 2020.
  7. According to our president, Messi's dad (his agent) already signed the new contract back in June. Only Messi's signature is missing but they will get it done "in the coming weeks". To be frank, I don't doubt that he'll sign. Even if he ends up walking at the end of the season because we suck, he won't do it on a free.
  8. For what it's worth, 19.45 (20.45 local time) is *the* KO time for La Liga. Usually one of Real Madrid and Barça will always play there. I think what's happening is something similar to what happened to us. Rather than appealing to a particular market, they want to spread out the games as much as possible to avoid overlaps and maximize total audience. The PL still has many games being played at the same time, something that almost never happens in La Liga anymore (which pisses fans off as their games get moved to shitty KO times).

Southgate really needs to uncheck "shoot on sight" on the tactics page.

    Are UEFA playoffs seeded?
  11. Agents don't negotiate contracts, they hire lawyers to do that. Agents have an important task - they separate the business and sporting side of things for the player. A player can focus on training and playing while the agent will take care of all business relationship with the club - relationship that's very complex in modern football. This is a valuable and important task, but the problem is all the perverse incentives that have emerged for agents, like the bonus payments for engineering transfers.
  12. There's no way he's leaving until the end of the season imho, you all can relax. He's just not the kind of manager that bolts in the middle of the season.
  13. Also, La Liga is far from Real Madrid and Barça's stooge. They only have 3 out of 42 votes in the council, and the other clubs have used that often to advance their interests (like the new shared TV deal, which is hurting Barça and Madrid quite a bit at the moment), when they manage to unite. The president is a self-confessed Real Madrid fan, but his actual power is mostly ambassadorial.
  14. We paid dearly for that too. The Spanish IRS has been ruthless on that front. Actually that ruling is what moved the opposition to the board to trigger the vote of no confidence that's happening right now. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  15. What dodgy deals? You mean the youth stuff? We paid very dearly for that. Madrid got a slap on the wrist by the EU for that. At the end of the day, the big issue here is that FIFA are in rather flimsy grounds when it comes to regulating the business side of football. FFP would probably fall like a house of cards if PSG took it to court, very much like it happened with the Bosman ruling.
  16. So we are at M-17, then? Gonna pray he doesn't get injured.
  17. That's sensible. Our league doesn't do sensible.
  18. So weird that the Spanish second division doesn't stop for international weeks. Some of those teams have plenty of internationals at this point.
  19. 25m Gates+matchday seems a bit low for a team that pulls 50k attendances consistently. Is that for the C'ship season?
  20. Truth be said, it's the first time we go out like this under Lopetegi.
  21. I was damn sure we did, but I checked again. Yup, we also started 4-6-0 against Italy in the 2012 Euro Final. I hope Italy get into the tribute act.
  22. We aren't starting a single natural forward against Italy Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  23. Obviously your DoF is lying through his teeth to save face considering Liverpool never entered any negotiations. I think they did, LCF obviously dropped a figure they knew we'd never accept. That's okay, I just wish we had alternatives lined up. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk How would we drop a figure when we never even entered into any negotiations? Our stand all through the summer has been the same despite Barca and their board making up stuff all through the summer . Personally I think that you would have sold if you had landed Lemar, and the move collapsed because of Lemar staying put. You simply were not going to spend north of 100m for Ox and Lemar and keep also Coutinho in the team. Makes no sense for the squad. So yeah, Liverpool were fine with selling Coutinho, on their terms. Those just didn't happen. No need to pretend otherwise, Liverpool operated smartly. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
