  1. The color pallette of these balls just reminded me of this... http://www.rickdangerous.co.uk/cga20a.png CGA
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sepp_Blatter Wikipedia's article cites the RSA government page as its source for the name.
  3. He's always been the soul of the dressing room. Casillas also said that he told him which way Cardozo would take that pen against Paraguay. So that's some contribution...
  4. A Manc friend of mine has sent me this after seeing it on one of their forums... http://www.thepresidency.gov.za/orders_list.asp?show=482 Is that really Blatter's full name?
  5. That tackle was as reckless as you can get. Intent doesn't really have much to do as the disregard for the opposition's safety. I really doubt any player actually intends not to hit the ball when making a tackle (Shawcross on Ramsey for example).

  7. Cesc and Puyol enjoying their beers after the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmvZPDA8TMI
  8. Geordie b******s, what are you doing to me?
  9. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats?id=102204&cc=5901 8 goals from midfield last season. Canny.
  10. Actually one of my best friends here in NYC is from Munich and was raving about this guy the other day, but he's been playing in Bundesliga 2...
  11. To be honest, have to agree regarding punditry. However, personally I accept teams taking it rough to us if it's within the rules. I don't like it but you do what you have to do in order to win. As in, I don't consider we have license to be allowed to play our pretty passes while the others watch.
  12. The Old Firm must be the greatest place on Earth to play for a middling footballer. You get to look like Pelé padding your stats against League One level opposition, fill up your trophy cabinet and get to play in the CL (for a bit).
  13. There have been a few rumors of Almunia going to Atlético, which doesn't really make much sense since they are loaded with good keepers (De Gea/Asenjo/Joel) and they just sold Roberto who is probably better than Almunia. I guess it would make sense if they plan on loaning Asenjo out (hard to keep both of Spain's brightest GK prospects happy) and get an experienced keeper that won't complain much if he rides the pine.
  14. If I were Arsenal I would sell him to Real Madrid for €1m to be honest

  16. Reina introduced him as "Spain's and Barça's future", the cunt
  17. Cruyff http://kozhev.ru/tt/smiley_pray.gif
  18. Meh, I don't think anybody expected him to light up the competition, so hardly can call Jonás a flop. Maradona flopped more as a manager, did fuck all the first time his team faced adversity.
  19. It's been obvious he would not come when the transfer wasn't finalised before Laporta left. Rosell is never going to meet Arsenal's asking price. I do want him, hopefully next year.
  20. That Dutch side of the Seventies could get stuck in as well, with players like Neeskens and Van Hanegem. The total football is what's remembered, but they were also a hard bunch, particularly the 1978 lot. Neeskens
  21. This article misses one of the most key moments in Iniesta's early life. He was set to sign for Madrid since it was closer to Albacete, but his parents walked out of the deal when they saw the place they had assigned his son to live in (I used to live in the same area in Madrid, shitty dirty place full of crime and prostitution). They then went to Barcelona and when they saw La Masia they decided to sign for Barça instead.
  22. There's just no way he'd move out of Spain, imho. Madrid is at least close to Sevilla, even moving to Barcelona would be a big deal with the language and all.
  23. so would of their been partying in barca last night, or is that just saved for when you beat your fiercest rivals There was lots of partying, just not in the numbers of a Barça win. The city goes completely nuts when we win a trophy.
  24. Just to clarify, there isn't many people in Catalonia that aren't happy that Spain won, but they just won't drap themselves in Spanish flags and go to the streets and yell Viva España!. I don't think I would myself and I'm on the fucking Moon about the win.
  25. Scotland more like. But wouldn't compare UK with Spain, different kind of states. You're sort of a federation and we are not.
