Isn't that a Manc song? I wonder what they will do when City eventually gets around to win something, which should happen in the next years.

18m for a 30-yeard old striker is mental. Even if he would be a great player for you. And God knows what he's being paid at ManU.

Those eggs you linked come with their own basket already

Iniesta seems to miss a couple months every season, and he's also played in the wings sometimes. No doubt the three of them would see ample playing time if we signed Cesc. And we need time to reeducate him before he becomes Gerrard mk II. He's becoming a bit of a glory player lately.

Should Harper be our number 1 in the Premier League - Next Season

Transiting keepers isn't easily done. It's not outfield players where you can easily give a youngster 7-10 starts and a collection of sub appearances to get him used to the speed and intensity of the top level game instead of the reserves friendlies. It takes a massive amount of confidence from a manager to put his stake on a new keeper and mantain him in his post through the league. In this regard, keeping two ambitious keepers happy is just not possible. I don't see how you can keep Krul since he's not going to play next season unless on loan, and Hughton won't give him the jersey just yet. -
Ah, haven't watched much of Birmingham, so haven't kept tabs on Johnson. I can assure you the Wolves lads have been gash, and they are not even starting anymore (Kightly been injuried a lot though)
-
This is correct & is obvious to see why: the Wolves players are get PL football by promotion so don't move. The rest are cream of CCC so most of them got moves. Which is why I don't think you should be afraid about losing your best performers, unless your owner actively tries to sell them. Anyway, has anybody in that list playing in the prem made the grade at all? Can only think of Hunt at Hull, but he was already a Prem-proven player in my eyes. Naughton gets a pass since he was signed as a prospect.
-
No player in that list playing for a promoted side (Wolves) got transferred, though.

From his interviews, Metzelder wants to go back to Germany. And his wages are reportedly €4,5m a year.

I'm sorry, I'm way too spoilt

Him and Miralem Sulejmani, the longer they stay the cheaper they may become, I'm sure Suarez is mid twenties now is he not? Hasn't Sulejmani sort of flopped at Ajax? I think with Sulejmani it's more been a mix of iffy injuries and not quite fitting the side. He showed against Juve in the Europa league that the boys got talent. He'd be a great support striker for Carroll. And maybe not an unrealistic signing. Ajax could let him go for a non-barbaric sum I guess.

Somebody surely should take a punt on Luís Suárez however, his goalscoring stats are getting more and more ridiculous each season. Not a name for this thread though!

Zlatan in Italy. Although he's only broken 20 goals once, admittedly.

Afonso Alves. Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo Luís Nazario. Yeah, Eredivisie strikers are pretty random

Classic Lillo team. Die fighting. Well wasn't expecting Madrid to drop points here, think we'll probably need to win 5 of our remaining 6 tbh. La Liga is utterly hopeless this year. If this keeps up we should just play a couple Clásicos next year and 30 friendlies in China and Singapore.
-
Is Albert Crusat usually this good? He was promising, but turned out to be pretty average. He seems to have found his place at Almería though, he's one of their more important players. All Madrid right now, guess they'll score any moment.
-
Almería are such an entertaining side under Lillo, for both good and bad reasons
-
Actually I was about to post that if you are watching the game keep an eye on Piatti. Not linked to moves yet but he's one of the half a dozen of "New Messis" that come out that place every year and has done well for Almería. Great workrate.
-
Real Madrid hasn't won there since 1981. of course Almería has only been three seasons in the top flight since then but who cares
-
Stephen Defour has been linked to half of Europe's top clubs, hasn't he? Distinctly recall Real Madrid having him as backup to Xabi Alonso. Pretty sure Liège won't let him go for an affordable fee, particularly given the money they got from the likes of Fellaini.

Benny Benitez: Parky 6 Benny 2 (Benitez watch.). Inter sack the waiter.
Village Idiot replied to Parky's topic in Football
I saw his Valencia play with three defensive mids. He won the league with the lowest goalscoring tally since we play 38 games a season! -
Metzelder is on a free but everything points out to a return to Germany. I assume his wages will be Madrid-tastic.

Latest gossip reports seem to confirm that Iker Casillas has finally won Spain's most prized trophy: http://api.ning.com/files/nt02pgpm-KdSOsj2OeDhzBE-C9IeFrXhP3R4L6cKX0H6ta20-hGJG*bDMh55mpwUoJaiWKnFF2l*GZ3lZ2bEVlS1s3Zn*J9b/saracarbonero.jpg Sara Carbonero. Beats our treble tbf

Thought I'd share some from Spain: This is the most popular Barça chant... (apart from the anthem) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVjdyS_9lPw&feature=related Translated: 1899, the club I bear in my heart is born blue and crimson are the colors... FC Barcelona! Lolololololololo FC Barcelona! (ad libitum) This one of my favorite La Liga chants, it was created by the fans of Cádiz (one of the best set in the land), last time they were in the top flight. They looked utterly hopeless and relegation certainties since Day one, but they'd fill their stadium no matter what and made this chant very popular (nowadays heard all over the land): Alcohol! Alcohol! Alcohol! We just came to get drunk, we don't care about the score! Atlético de Madrid has also some bloody good songs. Great fans (poor sods). I was born in love with Atlético de Madrid in love with this field where I have suffered so much in love with you. Your stripes are red and white and I wear them in my heart you make so it's like a religion let's sing the alirón*! I was born in love with Atlético de Madrid... *the song traditionally sung when a Spanish team wins the league** **and that absolutely nobody has actually sung in the past 50 years. And the brand new Sevilla anthem - which is totally boss - sung by their fans http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcmaWJGMLqg (way too long to translate)
