Ah, our customary stupidly conceded late goal/s.
-
Best news of the night if you ask me. He'd been great this season and I'll feel much better if he starts Tuesday.
-
Man, we are playing so well tonight, couldn't have imagined it when I saw the lineup!
-
Would he though? Chance to be a backup at arguably the best club in the world. He probably would want to think on his career past 25 though? I have seen several youth players on the fringes of our team that disappeared down the ladder due to lack of exposure and experience at the top flight. I think he has enough talent to make it at a decent side in La Liga but he needs to play. Then again, he's training with Messi every day.
-
Pedro didn't play at Tenerife, but yes, they were signed under recommendation of the same scout covering the Canary Islands. To be honest I don't think he has enough for playing for Barça, backup maybe but he'd want more football than that. He's 22 already.

Bojan Puyol playing like he's Brazilian today
-
How bad was the injury? Calf muscle trouble, they are assessing him tomorrow.
-
Get in Jeffren! First senior goal for him.
-
f*** me, Zlatan injuried during warm-up. Take out Messi and this is a mid-table lineup.
-
How many points since Brian Laws took over?
-
Sky math fail.

Weirdass Barça lineup for tonight, Guardiola's obviously resting people for Arsenal: Valdés, Chygrinsky, Piqué, Puyol, Abidal, Maxwell, Touré, Busquets, Jeffren, Ibra, Messi I assume Piqué will play has holding mid (he's actually quite good at it), and Jeffren on the left of the attack while one of Abidal/Maxwell will go to the right. Good to see Abidal starting.
-
Indeed he does. I'm really surprised at how well he has established himself and performed for City since he moved there.
-
Pity, imho.

Newcastle promoted to the Premier League - now, LET'S PARTY!

Congratulations magpies, back where you belong -
Everything seems to be happening for Arsenal, isn't it? Apart from Birmingham's late equaliser last week they seem to pull off a lot of late results by a hair.

Thought Lehmann was retiring? He said so in the run-up to our CL tie. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2914087/Lehmanns-terms-I-quit.html He also said that his family forced him to do so, so I can't see the New York move.

Just did some research in Getafe forums. There's nothing about your supposed offer but they say he and his agent have been trying to get him sold to half of Europe by now. They reckon the guy has incredible natural ability but is pretty lazy and unmotivated.

Neeskens is a huge legend for us. He actually left more of a mark as a player than Cruyff did (Cruyff's legend was made in his managerial stint) and was immensely popular during his time with us. His name was still sung in the stadium years after he left (one of my memories as kid). He was in the side that gave us our first official European title in 1979 (the Cup Winner's Cup), which is a watershed moment in the club's history. Again, the Cruyff/Neeskens/Michels era set up the foundation of what we are now. You can't really underestimate how legendary that time it is for us, even if it wasn't that successful trophy-wise. Okay, maybe not Milburn. But can't think of any foreigner that left such a huge mark on your lot (not that I know that much of your history). Robledo?

To be honest doesn't look like a horrible signing list. No real big flops in there, all high-priced purchases have performed reasonably well at the very least. Of course, I don't know which wages they are in. Looks to me that what Villa needs is very good central midfielder to make stuff happen upfront, instead of just trusting your wingplay. Petrov and a central Milner don't strike me as very creative types, despite their other virtues. Delph is a nice little player, but he's featured little. Wonder if he should have been loaned out for this season at least?

 The real video is up on youtube, won't post it here since it has a shitload of copyrighted stuff. It's pretty cheesy on its own right, no Ameobi though!

You skipped over Salifou, you cheat! What was the deal with that guy?
-
I thought Cesc broke his fibia? Fibula, that's the small bone in the ankle.
-
Everton fans will be interested to know that Arteta's name is starting to come up more and more for making the WC list, particularly after Cesc broke his ankle (he is expected to be back just in time for the WC, but any delay in his recovery would jeopardise it).

Real Madrid has signed the son of Johan Neeskens out of Barcelona (the city, not the club) youth outfit Damm That'd be like the son of Milburn playing for Sunderland.
