  1. Aye, he should. He's hardly been invisible though. Henry has had a much quieter game for example.
  2. Albiceleste = Argentina football team you jesters.
  3. One of these Argentinian commentators just said that some club presidents in Argentina are campaigning to get Guardiola to manage the Albiceleste
  4. We are really getting at Inter these last minutes. Let's see if we can bury it!
  5. FoxSports Vivo, their spanish channel. They have a couple Argentinians commenting.
  6. Wow, the FoxSports commentators are completely clueless about practically *everything*, it feels like they just make shit up every time they tell any "fact" about European football.
  7. Incidentally, does Inter have any Italian player on the field?
  8. Holy crap, Zlatan has such a first touch... now if he only gets a bit more effective.
  9. Iniesta starting on the bench again - understandable given he's hardly kicked a ball since the CL final - otherwise a full strength starting XI for us. Fingers crossed.
  10. Sadly, I agree, and I support one of the teams that have come on top these years. But I crave for the times where a well managed team, built from the ground, could go all the way and get trophies. I remember Bilbao in the 1980s in Spain (scarily unbeatable), Red Star winning the European Cup... when travelling away to Anderlecht was a tough fixture, or when you were scared of getting Celtic at home. Dammit, when you just didn't see all the same f***ing teams winning all the f***ing time. It was just more exciting. And it was a beautiful thing to see the hard work of managers, players and fans from other teams being rewarded, instead of dropping bags of money on the table. And yes, it must suck to support one of the teams feeding off the scraps of the fat cats (which in turn fuels gloryhunting).
  11. Bleh, was thinking on sending it to my parents in Spain and just grab it when I visit for Christmas, but it's 9 quid for that too. It's a great shirt anyway, I'll get one.
  12. We'll have to go with a salary cap I guess, if we ever want a semblance of equality back into the game. Not sure how that can ever be implemented. Although the whole farce might crash on its own accord.
  13. Atlético are really really really poor this season's start. I don't know how can you manage to not score against Appoel Nicosia at home with Forlán and Agüero playing for your team.
  14. Crap, 10 quid to get it sent to the USA.
  15. I will say it: too big to go down. Now I cursed you.
  16. If I remember correctly, until Guardiola arrived, Robson had the best win record since the 1950s (only across a single season, of course). People never got to his style of play, though. We behaved a bit like spoiled brats (he was succeeding Johan Cruyff, though, that was always going to be a tough task). Admittedly, the following two seasons were very good ones and with a more passing style under Van Gaal (who additionally was a laugh riot as a manager).
  17. Is that Kenny Warton sitting on the ball when we thrashed Luton 4-0. They took the piss down there place so we did when we got them back at St James? If it is, it was quality, and if not, just ignore my ramblings!! aye! and thank you for that. I have been looking for a clip but couldn`t remember his name. saw it on a dvd once and loved it! Just watched it again on youtube, search for it (I know youtube links are frowned upon in this place).
  18. I saw that Wharton moment on the telly when I was a kid. Always thought it was boss (the whole Newcastle taking the piss with the ball)
  19. As said, I'm damn sure he only wants to play people that are old enough to have seen him play, the vain dwarf.
  20. Maradona seems to only watch youtube videos in order to make his selection and tactics. I watched the Argentina - Brasil game on a repeat and apparently they just gave the ball to Messi expecting him to dribble the entire Brazil defence like he does once or twice a season against shit defences of crap Spanish teams. He (and other Argentinian attacking players) were completely isolated and gave the ball every time.
  21. Somebody should do a "what ever happened to?" with this kid. He's either a deadbeat or the CEO of a financial corporation.
  22. Aye, I remember when Raúl scored a winner at Camp Nou and he made a "now you shut up" sign towards us. I was screaming the most unsavoury things about his mother I could think about, but in retrospect it was a boss thing to do for him. Football is built from stuff like this too!
  23. Greek leage, I just love it Regarding that article somebody posted about Barça being cash strapped that time, that's not true in the least. We had some truely awful years after that, though, with a useless chairman running us in debt with overhyped players at inflated prices, and dropping from the CL for the first time since it was created (costed us dearly).
