  1. Played well yesterday. A good player at this level.
  2. He was having a really poor game and nothing was coming off for him. We've had plenty of wingers in the past who have gone into hiding when they've been having games like that but he kept on going, made one then scored one and all of a sudden everything started happening for him. Full credit to him for that. Clearly he's got a very strong mentality which is extra pleasing considering some of the cowards who've pulled the shirt on in recent years.
  3. They won't take it. Haven't applied and their ground wouldn't be good enough anyway.
  4. Was right in front of me and I can't think of a single reason for it not to be given other than incompetence. Colback was asking the referee why he never gave it when the ball went out of play a minute or so later and he clearly did a diving motion to suggest that was the reason he didn't give it. Begs the question why he didn't book Gayle though. Looked a blatant penalty all the way from the Gallowgate and seeing it on the telly it's a ridiculous decision not to award it. Couldn't really get a more stonewall penalty. At least it didn't end up costing us.
  5. Very composed performance. Won it with ease. Not much more to say than that other than the Ipswich fans were absolutely top class, as I expected they would be, and the refereeing in this league is absolutely abysmal.

  7. Tractor Boys not in particularly confident mood; http://tractor-boys.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=65249
  8. You prick.......the closure of Nissan would devastate the north east not just Sunderland You've totally misinterpreted that like
  9. The Leazes East corner only holds 1,800 so its not big enough. The West corner is quite a bit bigger as it was extended when the stadium went to 52k. Remember Arsenal fans going there for a League Cup game a few seasons ago because they brought around 3,500 fans with them and the club didn't want to open up level 7. It's the ideal area but it could be an issue being so close to the Platinum Club. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Tickets/StadiumPlan
  10. Wouldn't mind getting a clean sheet on Saturday. Think there's only 5 teams conceded more goals than we have at home but on the road we never look like conceding.
  11. I'm getting picked up at 9.30, having a full English at Wetherspoons in Wallsend, then heading over to the town for a few pints before our bus leaves at 2pm. Barnsley away? I can't remember getting this excited for the back to back cup finals in the late 90s!
  12. Yes it's desperate but I still have fond memories of the last game we won Moyes favourite to be sacked. http://www.thesackrace.com/ The bookies are rarely wrong. Looking at that site, you can gett 33/1 for Benitez to be the next St Mirren manager http://www.thesackrace.com/managers/rafael-benitez That's buying money that is!
  13. Yes it's desperate but I still have fond memories of the last game we won Moyes favourite to be sacked. http://www.thesackrace.com/ The bookies are rarely wrong. They suspended betting on Conte last week. He's still there.
  14. Just push your way through the turnstiles at the away end in between 2 of your mates. My mate done this when we played them down there in the league cup 15 years ago and got in no problem.
  15. Excellent again on Saturday and chipping in with his share of goals as an added bonus.
  16. Thought Brentford were the first team to come up here this season and seem totally overawed by the whole occasion. It happened quite often last time we played in this league but that's the first time I've noticed it this time around. Other than that a routine win, took our foot off the gas at 3-0 with tomorrow's game in mind no doubt and Shelvey is on a totally different level to any other player in this division.
  17. If they go down they're screwed. Haven't even got any assets to cash in on.
  18. Put that on a banner. The whole lot.
  19. Back in the 94/95 season they did a beamback at SJP for Man Utd away and that was a 3pm Saturday game. They had a 28" Toshiba rigged up on the halfway line whilst 8,000 of us squinted at it from the Leazes End.
  20. Disagree with some of that mind. Nowt wrong with the crowd against Reading, Brighton and Norwich where I thought it was positive from the off but the atmosphere was very poor v Huddersfield and Wolves, almost to the point where you'd think we had an entirely different crowd in for those games.
  21. We've been absolutely abysmal in our other two Saturday 3pm home games this season, players and fans alike. Need to buck that trend v Brentford.
  22. Wishful thinking I'd suggest. Can't see them getting top 3. They apply every year.
  23. Bishop Auckland applied to go up.
  24. Wouldn't wish Steve McClaren on any club with the exception of Sunderland.
  25. Ours came this morning. North Stand section N2.
