  1. Michael Procter. He was born and bred in sunderland and a life long supporter for added amusement.
  2. They've sold 2,600 for Saturday according to NUFC.com. Their last home crowd was 9,500.
  3. Don't forget the County Durham Mag glory hunters. Even Newcastle fans from parts of Durham closer to Newcastle than Sunderland are Keegan bandwagon jumpers. In summary no Newcastle fans lives in County Durham before 1992. None at all.
  4. No probably about it. Awful goalkeeping.
  5. The best thing to do is wait until Wednesday to order them and then the only option available will be to collect them at the ground.
  6. Couldn't really draw much conclusion from that tbh, they were pretty easy goals. But good that he was in the right place anyway. Being in the right place has never been his problem tbf. Personally I'd start him alongside Gayle v Brentford but I don't think that's how Rafa wants to play at all so expect Diame/Gayle up top again.
  7. Aye he's been there for a few seasons. He's 39 now but still a cracking little player. Scored 40 odd goals a season for the past couple of seasons and got another 1 today in a 3-0 win. Very entertaining game it was.
  8. NUFC season ticket holders get in for half price at Newcastle Benfield v Seaham Red Star today if anyone's at a loose end and fancies taking in a game this afternoon.
  9. Not interested in Andros Townsend. More than happy with his replacement.
  10. 196 extra tickets for Barnsley going on sale tomorrow morning. Anyone wanting one will need to be quick!
  11. From that thread: Christ, if they expand further they'll need a fork-lift to deliver the pile of free tickets to the local schools, call centres and needle exchanges... 'beuatiful' They already do this.
  12. Works fine for me. I quite like it.
  13. 7,000 locked out that day. Every match after that was all ticket. Remember the panic when they locked the gates at the Gallowgate with 1000s legging it round to the Leazes as word went round that there was still a bit of space in there as we stood there smug watching them all because we had our season tickets. They games weren't all ticket after that, I used to play Saturday afternoon so didn't get to too many games but I was at Derby at home where we put in 4 and another game shortly afterwards where we smashed some team and both times I ended up in the Leazes after they locked the gates in the Gallowgate. Anyway, memories; ending up on the pitch at home to Everton after fights broke out with away fans in the East Stand Paddock, Hibs fans looking to take the Leazes at HT in a pre season friendly, petrol bomb game. As for matches, far too many but a mention to the Fulham game which was on motd, it p*ssed down all game and we came back to win very late on and there was steam coming up from the crowd in the Gallowgate. Could go on for ages; Gayle and Bennett game, nearly throwing up on a NYD when hung over and McCrerry sliced his leg open in front of us. Brighton filling the Leazes end on their way to promotion and QPR hammering us as they went up - completed outclassed us that day. I'd best stop now, so many great memories, oh Kenny Wharton sitting on the ball..... We drew 1-1 at home to Derby that season.
  14. "OK everyone, time for the roker report weekly team meeting....."

' He actually told me to f*** off.

  17. Aye the Milburn Paddocks would still have been standing back then but the Gallowgate had been rebuilt.
  18. Villa now resorting to saying they've won more football trophies than a train.
  19. Gallowgate, as near to the SE Corner as possible.
  20. The atmosphere at Ibrox for run of the mill league games is even worse than at St James'. Most of their home games are played out in near silence with most of the crowd starting to drift away after 70 minutes. I went to around 10 games at Ibrox last year and it was a marked improvement on anything I've seen in England in recent times. The 4-0 Quarter Final win over Dundee was superb. I was there on Saturday vs Partick and the atmosphere was very good for an hour, but died off towards the end as did the game as Rangers killed the game off to preserve the 2-0 lead. There's a thread of follow follow absolutely slating the atmosphere at Ibrox on a Saturday. Here's the very first post on it; I sit in the govan front and have done for over ten years. I thought today when I heard we had just about a full house the place would be rocking and get the team going. Unfortunately I have to say that the atmosphere was so negative and flat from just about the first whistle. So called fans berating players for not doing something and just sucking all the confidence out of young guys like McKay. Far too much of this attitude this season from too many so called fans. its bad enough that the media are all over us but we don't need the same from our own. Is that from Saturday just gone? If so that's very surprising. I was reading an article of Sunday with quotes from Kranjcar saying how good the support was. It also helps that I normally sit not too far away from the Union Bears and they constantly get songs going. I'm convinced I wasn't that p*ssed that I was hearing things - Tennants isn't that strong Aye that was from the weekend; Atmosphere was crap because we got a couple of goals up and Partick Thistle were happy with a 2-0 defeat. Could have called it off after 55 minutes and I think they'd have taken it.

  23. Who was/is he on there? Someone called Gipetto I think.
  24. Seems like we've got a new look online ticket office. Edited: I've posted in the ticket office part on here as well but as a lot of people don't read that, NUFC announced this morning that Barnsley will go on general sale. It'll be the first time in over 5 years away tickets have been made available to general sale and backs up their promise in the last fans forum. 800 seats remained this morning from the 5,500 allocation.
