Incredible how many people I've spoken to, people who I thought had all but given up on following NUFC, who have bought or who are going to buy a season ticket for next season. Wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if they sell 40,000+ season tickets. Ashley must be wondering why he didn't appoint a top class manager years ago.

Good idea that they're inviting the more vocal fans to move to the Strawberry Corner or as near to it as possible to improve the atmosphere. Sounds to me that they'll be giving a discount to long-standing ST holders and will possibly be reducing the prices for next year (on the basis that they want as many through the door as possible). My dad has been a season ticket holder for over 25 consecutive seasons and he's already paid up for next season and didn't receive any further discount unless they're going to offer him a rebate. I'm going to consider getting one but it'll depend on the prices. It was nearly £600 for a standard 1 year season ticket in the Gallowgate last season. No way would I be prepared to pay that to watch Championship football. I'd just pick and choose my games instead.

It just seems that we're the best fit for him at the right time. I think the only way he isn't staying now is if Arsenal were to sack Arsene Wenger in the next 48 hours and go in for him which isn't happening. Just got to hope that Ashley and Charnley don't mess this up and we get to enjoy him for years to come. After seeing what he's managed to do with this bunch of losers it'll be fascinating watching him build his own side over the next few seasons. Can't wait for August 6th, in fact I can't wait for the fixtures coming out next month and it must be well over 10 years since I felt like that.

The only ones deserving of more than 5/10 are Elliot, Darlow, Lascelles, Townsend and possibly Mbemba. The rest have been a disgrace and winning 5-1 in a meaningless end if season game doesn't change that.

You can't get a season ticket yet so you'll waste your time. Wouldn't be surprised if they put them on sale as soon as he's confirmed as manager. They'd be daft not to.
