It just seems that we're the best fit for him at the right time. I think the only way he isn't staying now is if Arsenal were to sack Arsene Wenger in the next 48 hours and go in for him which isn't happening. Just got to hope that Ashley and Charnley don't mess this up and we get to enjoy him for years to come. After seeing what he's managed to do with this bunch of losers it'll be fascinating watching him build his own side over the next few seasons. Can't wait for August 6th, in fact I can't wait for the fixtures coming out next month and it must be well over 10 years since I felt like that.

The only ones deserving of more than 5/10 are Elliot, Darlow, Lascelles, Townsend and possibly Mbemba. The rest have been a disgrace and winning 5-1 in a meaningless end if season game doesn't change that.

You can't get a season ticket yet so you'll waste your time. Wouldn't be surprised if they put them on sale as soon as he's confirmed as manager. They'd be daft not to.

Dear me. I've read some absolute sh*t on the Internet over the years but that article could well top the lot.
-
I love everyone now.

I currently have Saturday's off and have done for the last two years. I'm at uni though and I work other shifts during the week and I just know for a fact that this year I'll have a clash at uni and work and the only way to get it covered will be to sacrifice my Saturday's off. The way my shifts fall it works out I do 1 in every 4 Saturdays and 1 in every 4 Wednesday nights but there is the opportunity to swap shifts. Out of the 12 of us in our department though 9 are NUFC fans (1 Evertonian and 2 don't like football) so getting a swap to go to the match might not be all that easy. Might look at sharing a ticket with one of the other lads who work the opposite shift pattern to me.
-
I work shifts so would usually miss 4/5 games a season though work but depending on the prices I'm going to look into getting my season ticket back once Rafa is confirmed. It's going to be an amazing feeling actually looking forward to and enjoying the match again.
-
One more point; I know the regular match going fans have taken some stick on here (from me as well) but credit to them and in particular to everyone who went to the Spurs game and gave him such an amazing reception. It appears that has had a massive bearing on his decision to stay. Well done one and all.

? We didn't even average over 50,000 this season. Just under. 49,700. However our post Benitez average was over 50k and providing we do as well as we're expecting to do we'll average over 50,000 next season in the Championship. (Provided Rafa is definitely in charge of course).
-
Yep. None of the players currently at the club are capable of going to a team who currently have what you could call an even better manager than Benitez. Although to be fair there's arguably only 4 or 5 better managers than him in the game. Can't get my head around it looking like he's choosing to manage Newcastle United in the Championship. What a man!

Whoever thought relegation could be so enjoyable?
-
Could have been 4 or 5 but I went for Sissoko in the end.

Going to be a massive watershed moment for me in my 35 years of supporting NUFC. If Ashley and Charnley f*ck this up I know for a fact that's me done. It'll finish me and give me the perfect excuse just to walk away from it all. I don't think there'll be any coming back after that. If they can get him to stay I know for a fact I'll become a regular match goer again. Can't help but love the bloke and he deserves all the support we can give him and it'll be two fingers up to the likes of the mackems who'll be playing in front of 1000s of pink seats once again next season and Vile who are closing parts of their stadium if we're still pulling in 50k crowds snd tearing up the Championship which I think we will if we still have Benitez. No exaggeration to say this is the biggest couple of weeks in my NUFC supporting life.
-
Really hope they lift this members only policy for away tickets. If they do we'll have 7-8,000 at the likes of Blackburn and other grounds with massive allocations for away fans.
-
There's about half a dozen players I'd really be glad to see the back off (Coloccini, Taylor, Colback, Wijnaldum immediately spring to mind) and he's very much one of them. A liability more than he is an asset.
-
This! Chuffed to bits they've got to Wembley. Let's hope they can finish the job off now.

We had 3 points from 9 games when Sam came in. We've averaged 1.25 points per game since he arrived. That kind of return would get you about 47 points for the season. I'd be more than happy with that. Also his signings have been brilliant. Kirchoff for £750,000 is an absolute steal. Kone is a beast and Khazri has been immense. I understand why Newcastle fans slag off Allardyce, you deemed him not good enough, but for us he seems like a great fit because our expectations are less. Because he wasn't good enough. Performances and results for us proved that. If you're happy with 17th every season and get more pleasure from watching your local rivals struggle than you do from your own club I can see why he could be a perfect fit.
-
Sounds to me like him saying the fans have convinced him to stay here but he's waiting for certain assurances from the board before he says he'll stay on which is fair enough. Got to remember that unlike our last few managers who were just grateful to have the job because no other half decent club would touch them, we have a manager who would be in massive demand if he were to leave so it's only right he takes his time before making the decision he believes is the right one.
-
Apparently he scored the 1000th goal of the PL season today.
-
Would have been better if he didn't have a Wonga top on mind.
-
Aye the goals are 6ft wider and 3ft higher down there.
-
he's also spent all but the last 10 games under terrible f***ing management, but of course that couldn't have any influence Aye it's all the managers fault. A good manager took a handful of games to find a role he could play effectively. No one said it was all don't to management but to deny it is pure stupidity. At right back. I like him as a right back. But he's a s*** midfielder. Rafa knows that. Riiiight, so therefore the s*** managers we've had his entire time at the club clearly had an impact on how good a signing he's been for us then. Glad we agree. He's not good enough to play as a central midfielder in the Premier League. That much is obvious. However he's more than a decent right back.

Awful challenge.
