  1. http://www.minimalsworld.net/BrazilName/brazilian.shtml I'm 6kg heavier than when we played at SJP I'm 22 lbs (10 kilos) lighter, and counting.
  2. Cool. They can have the free-kicks and corners, I'm not great from more than 20 yards from goal if I'm honest with myself.
  3. If it was win the league I'd go for Newcastle. But League Cup, not worth the metal it's made from. So I voted England. But let's face it, neither are very likely are they.
  4. Cheers Rocker, not sure if it's needed anymore though. I was sorting the details of travel etc out with theregulars as I'm giving him a lift up from London and he said he was struggling for accomodation. I can stay at my gran's just south of mackem country on the friday night and drive up in the morning, but if he was stuck I said we'd sort something out together - either hotel or crash at somebody's house. He reckons he's fine now though so unless there is a major fuck up we're sorted. Obviously if he/me/we get smashed on saturday night though who knows what could happen.
  5. Yeah, I checked it out but most of the stuff I saw was very expensive. If they had a search filter like on ebay I'd probably look around but I really can't be arsed. If I don't turn up anything new I've got plenty of choice at home already. BTW, Can I request being put on Pens please Gaffer?
  6. England would be my choice too, if I hadn't just witnessed their South African shitshow. Yeah, I was gonna wear my Italy shirt. Decided against it after the World Cup performance.
  7. Will anybody be able to offer a roof over the head of one or two london based forum members if it is needed. Gonna be coming up on the friday and going back saturday after the game, or sunday depending on activities arising after the match. It's not absolutely certain that accomodation will be needed, but in a worst case scenario myself and theregulars might need somewhere other than a park bench to rest our weary heads. EDIT: Looking likely we'll be fine now so don't worry about it gents, I know you were all about to offer up hostelries for us, So thanks anyway. Ridiculously excited about this. Anyone got any foreign shirts websites where I might be able to find something on the cheap, preferaby not snidey though.
  8. If blue and white stripes is ok I've got a Alaves shirt and a Depor La Coruna shirt I could wear. Or a Huddersfield shirt. Got some Italy shirts, an old Walsall away, varying blue NUFC tops. There's got to be a few more in there aswell. Might even scour ebay for a new one to wear.
  9. Surely just wearing a red or blue t-shirt/football top is satisfactory. Although I wouldn't put it past Burnip to want the whole team to turn out in identical kits. He's probably been on the phone to Vandanel or Lotto trying to get a deal on a full set of red shirts, shorts and socks with embroidered crests and printed sponsor logo. I shall be searching through my exstensive collection for the most random I can find. I might even wear a different one each half.
  10. So we got no strikers then. 0-0 written all over it. Just you wait. Should I hold my breath?? I think goals will come. I will put my faith in you, young one, don't let me down.
  11. Full backs can't spend the whole time sitting back. If you do it gives the oppo winger a green light to stay up. good full back play has to be balanced between attack and defence (somebody should forward this to Glen Johnson really). If you can get a good understanding between the wide midfielder then it's not a problem. Also requires the CB to pull a CM back in if needed but that would be my job to sort out. Good communication and responsible midfield play should free you up to get involved in the attacking third of the pitch. EDIT: Just don't fuck it up when you get there, or you put us in the shit. Another note for Mr Johnson there I think.
  12. Not this time. You're gonna be bombing on delivering killer balls into the big lad up front. I've got your back.
  13. So we got no strikers then. 0-0 written all over it. Just you wait. Should I hold my breath??
  14. I have played up front plenty of times for varying clubs and would be happyto shoulder the burden. I said at my first NO game I can play anywhere but have barely got over the half way line in either game I have played. When will the glory come my way, dam it, when?
  15. Who is the blue team gaffer then? Yorkie? Kezman? Get the possible line-up posted, we need something to discuss seeing as the world cup is finished. What positions do Mini Kez, Keef, Madras, Prophet and theregulars play??
  16. He'll be fine. I'll be covering him. Double team. KAPOW!
  17. If you want to play you can hitch a lift with me on the friday, coming back after the game (a few hours after the game!) on saturday. You don't need to pay half the petrol, as I'd have to drive up anyway even if you don't go. A small contribution would be required but we can sort that out. If travel is the only reason you aren't going then it's not a problem.
  18. Had to rewind just to check it. I thought he'd said North Korea. What a complete fuckwit.
  19. Yeah, I didn't expect them to win the whole thing, but they should have had more than enough to get out of the group no matter which players Lippi took in the squad. It boils down to a lack of application on the part of the players and a refusal/inability to see what was wrong from the manager.
  20. Burnip's gone a bit John Terry on us here. Calling for the inclusion of certain players he thinks are better than the ones currently on his team. FWIW, I have to agree that some players are clearly better than others but that will always be the case. The home team were well short-handed at the SJP game but it didn't turn into a rout. The teams above seem closer matched to me than they were for that game, but we don't want a few weeks of moaning about the teams being unfair so let's just get it sorted. I've got no problem with playing for either side no matter what the teams are. You won't find me complaining, just bollocking my team mates if we are getting trounced.
  21. What is it about Italian managers that makes it so hard for them to see what is blatantly obvious. Anyone who has watched England and Italy would easily spot that what is lacking is creativity and quick dynamic attacking play. As a result both Capello and Lippi have risked elimination at the group stage with negative tactics and poor selections/substitutions. Capello got away with it, just, but Lippi hasn't. As much as I wanted Italy to go through, and that goal looked fine from where I was sitting BTW - god damn English linesmen! - but if you can't pick up a win against New Zealand, Slovakia and Paraguay (who look the poorest of the South American sides IMO) then you don't deserve to go through. Hopefully the Italian chiefs will look to rebuild rather than rehashing the same old players again. God damn parents, making me support two piss poor countries.
  22. Oh, so we seriously have no keepers then. At least it's fair. If we can't get ringers in then it'll have to be a rotation plan agreed between the teams. I'm not get stuck with it again. Also, 30 mins ET followed by penalty shoot-out in the unlikely event of a draw at 90 minutes? I love a good shoot-out me.
