  1. I remember this and never understood the criteria.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/9153999.stm Former France coach Raymond Domenech is seeking £2.5m in severance pay, claiming he was made a "scapegoat" for his team's poor World Cup performance. Domenech was reportedly sacked from his role on the French Football Federation technical advisory board in September. He stood down as France coach after a dismal World Cup, in which his side failed to make it out of their group. Domenech will seek the compensation from an employment tribunal, his lawyer told L'Equipe newspaper on Wednesday. The FFF reportedly sacked Domenech for three "grave errors", including Nicola Anelka's expulsion from France's squad, the subsequent training boycott and his refusal to shake the hand of South Africa coach Carlos Alberto Parreira after the final group game. The World Cup controversies forced FFF president Jean-Pierre Escalettes to resign, while head of state Nicolas Sarkozy pledged to personally lead an investigation. France started their World Cup campaign with a goalless draw with Uruguay but lost 2-0 to Mexico in their next game. Chelsea striker Anelka reportedly clashed with Domenech at half-time during the Mexico game and was sent home from the World Cup. The rest of the France squad refused to train in protest at the decision, and Domenech had to read out a statement from them explaining their actions. Domenech's final match as France coach was a 2-1 defeat by hosts South Africa, which ended in a bizarre exchange with South Africa coach Parreira as Domenech refused the offer of a handshake and instead wagged his finger at his fellow coach. Domenech, who replaced Jacques Santini in 2004, guided France to the 2006 World Cup final, where they lost to Italy on penalties after Zinedine Zidane was sent off in the second half of extra time. However, the coach did not always enjoy the full support of fans, particularly during a disappointing Euro 2008 campaign where France picked up only one point and finished bottom of their group. Former Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc replaced Domenech in July and led the side to the top of their Euro 2012 qualifying group four games.
  3. I hope this isn't true and just another atempt from the media to destabilise the club which imo will fall straight on its arse because a lot of people seem to have figured them out.
  4. Anyone see his interview on ssn David Craig: what do you want to do when you're older ? mascot: (pause) you're job. David Craig: My job, why ? mascot: Because i'm better than you.

    Titus Bramble

    Better than Chelsea ?
  6. Between 17th and 14th imo. Great result yesterday though i just don't think we will be consistent enough.
  7. Except these two are on lower wages and care about the club more than any of them Owen in particular.
  8. He seems to have everything, he is strong, quick, and surprisingly skillful but you can still see him improving, he could be a top striker someday. Nothing that hasn't already been posted before but i thought it needed highlighting again after this performannce on such an important day.
  9. They might be able to isn't he supposedly a Sunderland fan ? he is, actually, goes back to the '60's. ...........mind you Bruce is supposed to be a Newcastle fan....hang on... :celb:
  10. They might be able to isn't he supposedly a Sunderland fan ?
  11. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=536037 There is also a thread about facebook groups and someone writing cancer and dead babies on a picture of sir bobby robson http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=536073
  12. Great performance from a great captain. I doubt this will be forgotten.
  13. You seen the Gold forum on RTG? Some quality threads in there. Aye, they deserve commending for this like http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=489139 that sarnie looks fooking beutifull That is a good sarnie. Fair play to them (still a shit forum).
  14. This is the best forum I've seen on the net, by a distance. Obviousely i agree. Though i don't post on there toontastic is good aswell.
  15. I can't belive one of them said there was no decent Newcastle messageboards. This site is ten times better than ready to go. Just look at the facts More Users, 30 comments a page (something i like about this forum), good moderation, better posters (imo, though i will accept i may be looking at this point through NUFC tinted glasses) more supporters from other clubs, better threads(mainly because we know the difference between a post and starting a new thread and also the genius of threads like football in paint, lush lasses and internet jocularity), ready to go looks a bit tacky as well, imo. And on the point of nerves, yes i am nervous i can't undrstand how any one can not be nervous with tomorrow being such a big game and there not being too much difference between the two teams in terms of league position and with our home record of late.
  16. I just heard it too, on Soccer a.m
  17. Yeah, i was listening the other day because i had no other radio stations in my car that were tuned propperly and they are having a go at people playing video games.
