  1. Isn't it more of an Elvis impression ? Considering it is a cover of an Elvis song . Maybe if he was wearing a white suit. You are right, and if i'm honest i also thought it was a Sinatra cover before i found out it was an Elvis song.
  2. Yeah, i agree i think it gives us (Newcastle) hope for next season because if a team has the right attitude they can do very well.
  3. Aye, but sadly it's the only one that isn't played almost exclusively by Americans. Plus the fact that america is the biggest country in the tournament and probably have as many people playing the sport as Ghana. But that said i think America can be extremely proud of their team who worked extremely hard and never gave up.

  5. I hope we don't sign him but i am just happy that we have money.
  6. Chile and part of me wants Argentina to do well but the other part wants me to see them lose.
  7. Ok i will accept i was wrong and he isn't that quick but he is pretty pacey even if he isn't that quick. I will also accept it was an embarrasing comment to make.
  8. Lovenkrands is probably one of the quickest players in the premier league, imo, up there with Walcott, Lennon, Agbonlahor, Bellamy and even our very own Jose Enrique
  9. Can u post a link please ?
  10. Yeah i remember that very well because i was going to go but my mam wouldn't let me because of all the trouble that was going to kick off. That and the game at st james' was my best chance of seeing England and i missed it. There wasn't any real trouble, a few choruses of "would rather be a paki than a turk" from the usual knuckle draggers and some food thrown at a bus but that's all I saw. The pitch invasion wasn't overly dramatic either. No but there was expected to be which is why i wasn't allowed...just icase.
  11. Yeah i thought it was funny too. Is it possible that the footage wasn't shown because it may have cost too much ?

  13. I remember reading their forum once and they were having a go at us for complaining abouth the media hating us. How the tables have turned.
  14. Yeah pretty much. They have a few threads aswell actaully claiming they wll support Paraguay.
  15. Yeah i like him aswell, he is funny and doesn't seem to be a typical footballer who is rapped up in his own self importance and he actually has a personality.
  16. The mackems are a little upset about Bent not going to the world cup http://www.readytogo.net/smb/forumdisplay.php?f=86
  17. Aye the Cockney Geezer on SSN seems a total self important idiot. "He should'a called a press conphrance on sky schports news." Happy with that, he's probably my favourite England player over the last 4 years. Just a different class of player, and the closest to Peter Beardsley we'll get! Why? Johnson is a better option on the left. Joe Cole is a better option off the bench. Aaron Lennon has a better end product and equal pace. SWP has the pace of Walcott, and perhaps a better end product. Walcott is Mr. Pace, and when he can't be bothered he falls on the floor. I am not sure who i would have in the squad tbh but i would say that Walcott is faster than both those players, though i can see what you're saying that he doesn't have an end product but neither does SWP realy and because i havent seen a lot of prem football this season i cant say a great deal about Lennon's either but from what i have been told he also lacks an end product Lennon's improved his end product a lot this season, so hopefully it continues, but it was generally terrible before that. Walcott is probably the fastest of all the players mentioned, but he doesn't use it right. Runs into blind corridors, never looks up, I just don't get the appeal that some people have for him. It is because when he is good he is brilliant, imo, though i agree he doesn,t use his pace right often enough but imo his problem is consistency because on his day he can tear trams apart. If we took him, and he came off the bench, you'd have the opposition man marking him with two players. One tight to make him knock the ball past him 20 yards, the other lying deep to collect the ball. Would that be a bad thing if it takes another player to mark him then that gives the other players more space. Well you'd have the left wing, tight mark, and the left back deep to pick up the ball. Hardly going to cause a huge gap to appear - of course thats the simplest ideal way to mark him out of the game. The other would be to clatter him, or just watch him run off the pitch after running 90 yards without looking up. Fair ppooit. Interesting!

  20. I am also dissapointed that Adam Johnson isn't in the squad. Hasn't he done well in the prem since joining city ?

  22. how many coaching staff have we got left ?
  23. Gutted for their fans, inam not even sure i would wish this on the mackems. On the otherside their are a few players that would be good here, and they have a decent academy.
