  1. where ? Ashley's pocket. He wants the money back that he has loaned to the club - how else is he going to get it back? other than assumption and wild accusations has that ever been proven? He didn't give us it as a gift, I'm sure. And he can't just go "Ah, cheers. I'll have that." and withdraw it to from the bank. If it's 'debt' or 'loan' then there are regulations to follow about repayments and so on. He can't just take it. Well - that does depend entirely on the terms of the loan agreement.
  2. In the sense that the fan's get on Jonas' back like they did with Robert. Two frustrating players. Does something poor in the game and you can hear the abusive shout outs and groans go right through the ground. The two of them combined would be one of the best LW's in the world. Robert was one of the best LWs in the world. Would agree on this, though I got laughed at by quite a few friends when I said it. Imagine if we had a LW now that would score 8-10 goals a season and around 20 assists with Carroll upfront. Ask them to name 10 better ones during his peak. You'll get silence. Pires, Giggs, Ronaldinho, Nedved at least. Feel like im missing someone. I agree somewhat, and I'll rephrase: The two of them combined would arguably be the best lw in the world. Rivaldo - if you can count him as a LW (which he did play - just not all that frequently). Overmars at a push (although in decline). Kily Gonzalez (was probably as good for as short a period of time). Luis Figo (sometimes played on the left I believe). Overmars and Gonzalez better were not better than robert in those 2 seasons. The original comment was that Robert was one of the best LWs in the world. You can't be one of the best LWs in the world if you are exceptional for only 2 seasons. That is not nearly a long enough period to be regarded as one of the best LWs in the world. How stupid are you? In those 2/3 seasons he was one of the best LWs in the world. I'll ignore your mindless name calling as I suspect most people should. My point is that you can't look at a player's two season period and say he was one of the best LWs in the world. That's bit like saying that Kevin Phillips was one of the best strikers in the world at one point because he had a few good seasons. Looking at a small isolated period is utterly pointless.

Robert was one of the best LWs in the world. No - he wasn't. He was exceptional for us for 2 seasons. Utterly brilliant. But he was not one of the best LWs in the world.
  10. Some of his performances were woeful though - so I think he did sometimes deserve some flak. And I was a big fan of his.

    Alan Pardew

I think he can sometimes be controversial for the sake of being controversial, but I think he can be quite insightful. Certainly not as mundane as others.

One of the better football writers I would say. You clearly don't agree.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1260144/MARTIN-SAMUEL-Alan-Pardew-proper-Saint-little-monster-Cortese.html Nice little article re Southampton and Pardew. Not quite sure how the fact that the deluded chairman set Pardew a target of getting promotion means that was ever realistic - but that seems to pass for logic here.

A manager should be able to criticise a player in public without people crying about it.

    Agreed. Storm in a teacup.

We already did. Away from home - yes. But bearing in mind we were dropping easy points under Hughton, I'm not convinced wed have taken 6 points with him in charge.

    Alan Pardew

Would we have beaten Wigan and West Ham under Hughton?
  18. Brock was good. Dillon was second only to Billy Askew in the crap stakes.

    Bars in Leeds

Apparently 3 kings in kensington or something might show it?
  20. How was there no contact?? he clearly caught him?
  21. Should have been doing this ages ago. Want to see Vuckic out on loan and potentially Ranger, Ferguson and Donaldson depending on players being bought in the window.

    Sebastian Larsson

What top-form??? The guy hasn't had a decent set of performances since he's been at the club. Utter bollocks. it's just typical NUFC 'pick a scapegoat and run with it' disease. Been the same with Taylor for the last few seasons. Usually based on foundations of sand but perpetuated endlessly.
  23. Suppose so - it just seems wrong that a couple of our decent young players are playing non-league football.
