  1. i hope this isn't a reference to manchester united football club Hopefully its a reference to... http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/bucklberry/band%20pics/classic2smithsl.jpg Also, surely Salford is to Manchester what Gateshead is to Newcastle? Basing this on having only lived in Manchester for 4 months

    José Mourinho

So they just mentioned that Mourinho has finished in the top 2 every season since 2002/03. I don't care what people say about the clubs he has manager, that is a hell of an achievement. Its like Wenger's record of finishing in Champions league places.

He had great potential years ago but i lost track when he went to Portugal...could be inspired. Rio and Vidic are coming to the end of their careers at very top level (Rio is closer than Vidic to it like). Seems like United are keen on Jones being the first choice in the centre in the future. Garay-Jones? not bad
  6. Overly pessimistic for dramatic effect, by that i mean that Shola will be upfront, Campbell will be on the wing...
  7. So add that £30mil to the £20mil for Cisse...we should buy Cavani...
  8. Agreed, though i do like that Nedved got some recognition. Owen ffs

    Twitter

Would love it if instead of Spidey mask, he whips out a Tyson mask...or goes all out and gets a face tattoo

also this classic in the Di Canio thread; Yet Keegan just whinged and cried home?...the hypocrisy is hilarious like. I find looking at that forum more fun than this sometimes...

I know some joke about "hey its on twitter so must be true" in a sarcy way, but reading that thread, bloody hilarious!
  13. RE: That Real Madrid shirt, was it supposed to have red trim rather than gold? also, if you want bad font;

I literally don't know who any of these people are. Diakite and Krasic are names, but Krasic went majorly off the boil after a good season at Juve and being the new Nedved (on looks too!) but Diakite is a name, not for a great reason...

    Papiss Cissé

genuine question, where would we have finished last season if Chelsea had signed Cisse instead of Ba, and Ba stayed?
  16. Is Weimann not another Gouffran? I'd like him on the bench, or instead of Gouff, but we kind of need wingers here...or a top striker...

Contributions for which he's been given an ample salary, one of the highest for a goalie. No idea what he will go for, though. But certainly not for free. I know he is a world class keeper, but i was actually there for the Super cup this year at the Nou Camp...Valdes

Im in the same position as you as i watch every Serie A game ESPN show pretty much, and I just can't believe we are talking about the same player. Fairplay, everyone can have an opinion, but I just can't see it THAT way. Agree to disagree (Though i agree about Lewendowski, but he is the 2nd best target man in the world after Zlatan ). Cavani - Hamsik linkup has been ridiculous since Cavani joined, telepathic at times. Not every player can be Thierry Henry 2003 though
  19. Had him in my FF team that season, he got 260-270 IIRC. I don't think I've had a player with such a highest score The first year of Pep was good for him at Barca (incidentally the strongest year of this iteration of Barca, in my opinion), but that year was something else. Its funny looking back, how the hell did they not win the league that season? RVN scored alot but still, that is insane to me.
  20. Bit random but looked over stats recently, and Thierry Henry league stats in 2002-2003... Apps - 37 Goals - 24 Assists - 23 Arguably the best season of any forward? Yes Shearer and Ronaldo has fantastic seasons at Blackburn and Man Utd respectively, but in terms of sheer output, that is ridiculous like!

Oh, so you have not seen Cavani play... he is a much more rounded player that the 2 you mentioned previously...

On the news of the hotel...yes it may mean people stay there rather than Newcatle, but then it just means they have to get the metro to Newcastle everytime they want a meal that isnt chips with cheese melted over...marra... false economy

Maybe im biased towards Milan a bit but look at every signing they made last season? Alvaro Pereira, Cassano (who i like), Juan Jesus, Jonathan...Gargano did ok and Guarin has been decent, but I am not fearing this move if im honest... Did he oversee the Milito and Motta signings? Their best pieces of business in recent times... Tbh i havent paid much attention to this season, he was also Udinese scout previously too so should have had some success. Yep, and i missed Handanovic off the list who id argue is probably one of the top 3 keepers in the world atm, if not THE best... Inter were a disgrace this year. Fair enough Milito and Cassano were out for long periods, but Rocchi? ffs... Only game i saw was the Spurs game at WHL. Was shocked at how awful they were then. By all accounts they we far worse earlier in the season too They took 4 points from Milan this year which is even more ridiculous. Catania finished above them...
