  1. remember what this thread is about like; http://www.standard.co.uk/incoming/article8479690.ece/ALTERNATES/w620/ANDY-CARROLL.JPG
  2. This, I put it down to Pardew not playing him right. His best games (apart for Man Utd at home last season) were under Hughton really. Pardew has slowly eroded his ability away.
  3. Tbh, id still go for the man who we were strongly linked with before we got Pardew; http://www.picgifs.com/soccer-graphics/soccer-graphics/martin-jol/soccer-graphics-martin-jol-202040.jpg

    Papiss Cissé

Except three of those goals have come in the Europa League. It's all down to Ba leaving and Cisse playing upfront. Ok, Gouff and Sissoko... tbh its all about Ronny Johnsen leaving...

Tbh its as much about Gouffran coming as Ba leaving in my opinion, Gouffran must be a centre-forwards dream to play with, does all his running!
  6. Fairplay to both him and Leeds. He seems a nice guy and knows that division well so should be a good job for him, and for Leeds, someone who is immensely more likeable than Warnock! My dads side were from Yorkshire so are Leeds fans, so kind of a 2nd team for me.

  9. nice polo top, now where is the football shirt?

    Alan Pardew

Looking at the table, 10th isnt outrageous, but looking at the games we have left, its unlikely. Id say 10th-12th is the more likely area than above (yes 10th is top 10 but he really should just say 10th in that case, though 9th is dragging a bit closer)

Just as night follows day... the term "mag stronghold" man...
  12. http://whatistheexcel.com/wooobooru/_images/3c1f42791b0b720e7de4e5b8459f0d5c/6447%20-%20Raw%20raised_eyebrow%20sunglasses%20the_rock%20wwe.png Seriously though, i didnt think he was THAT good. He was above his own average, but still would have had Perch in there...he just looks shit-scared of the ball, which he probably should be given his level of ability. People who complain about Obertan or Simpson etc. need to realise that Willo is the first player that needs to go...especially now we have Mapou.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I hate to say it (due to the ridiculous hypocrisy) but he needs a good pre-season to shift the weight. He isnt at Shola 2010 level yet (post injury) but he will lose a yard of pace or too if he gained more weight. Also hope he just slims down and doesnt do what Shola did that year and turn it all into muscle, dont want an immobile Hatem!

Pretty sure contracts in France take tax into account, ie. £45k per week but be £45k per week AFTER tax...could be wrong though
  17. Not really, you guys seem to be well informed. The beer is stronger and cheaper as you may know by now. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/benfica-vs-newcastle-united-travel-advice Im trying to google map this so i can plan metro stops etc. Which stops would you use for both Rossio Square and Bairro Alto? Where are you coming from? Which station? Bairro Alto - Baixa-Chiado station (googled this one) Rossio Square - Rossio station You can use this to plan it / see the itinerary http://www.metrolisboa.pt/eng/ You can see where you have to change metro (if necessary), color of the lines, etc. It's really easy, I use it on a regular basis to go to college when trains aren't available. The airport. I get in about 4pm, and leave 7am the next day. Cheers for the help.
