Its the wider use in football. Look at Pompey after they won the cup, gold all over their kit. Just imagine if Sunderland brought out a gold kit with the similar headline "red and white, made in gold". I just feel like its more powerful and can send a message when worn by champions. Its probably just me who believes this it seems but I dont know, football shirts can send a message and mean something

There is nothing wrong with a gold kit...not buying it myself but i think it looks good. Many iconic moments have happened in a gold shirt... http://soccerlens.com/files/2013/02/ronaldinho-che.jpg http://www.arsenal.com/assets/_files/images/jul_08/gun__1216219247_champions2002.jpg My problem is this side has not justified the need for one yet...last year was the year to wear one like!

My car radio cant seem to pick it up. On Long/medium wave ,it feels like every frequency comes up Talksport 606 is gash mind, but just the best of an absolutely abhorrent bunch. I also hate Keys and Gray, but whereas i can see the benefits of Gray (ex footballer who is tactically ok) i dont get how Keys has that job.

Collymore i think is inoffensive. He sometimes gets carried away with a point but on the whole i like him. Durham is the worst. Standard talksport format; Adrian Durham tells a story Durham makes outrageous (normally wrong) claim based on crap logic Gough says opposite more calm view Durham asks callers who's side theyre on right wing cabbies call in Talksport.
-
Why is he such a hoop? Which one? Luke Edwards. I've been wondering this, he comes across a right child too "we broke the story first, nyeeeeeeeer" pathetic, man! (I personally think Collymore is alright too...)

Don' t forget, it means they can get rid of Mexes (bicycle kick aside...) Zapata has looked good in bursts this season, i reckon a season of Zapata and Puyol would really cement him. Ogbonna is a player i like, but I thought he would move a few years ago, feels like every summer him and Astori are linked with top sides.

Can get another 2-3 years out of him, he isnt as good but its not like Milan haven't played with old defenders before... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1c/PaoloMaldini.jpg Will be interesting to see how he plays in a more athletic Milan side (though tbf they still play Mexes...)

Just saw on RTG whilst scanning for relegation ponderings that Gareth Bale has trademarked his celebration... http://images.quickblogcast.com/92912-88346/empoli_milan_1_pato.jpg edit - seen it referenced above

This is in response to people saying "look, Arsenal and United are 2 of the most successful clubs in England as they have stuck with their managers". No! Its because they were great managers that they stayed for ages and didn't need to be replaced. Rant over! Arsenal haven't won a trophy for 8 years. This conversation took place in 2005 Seriously though they mean consistency. Sometimes it feels like they are just excusing clubs to keep crap managers. Love or hate it, look how well Chelsea have done when replacing managers. Grant, Hiddink and now Benitez have all gone on to be more successful than the manager who started the season there.

Sid Lowe and Guilleme Balague were tweeting eachother about Real Madrid winning as much with loads more managers in time that Fergie was at United. A traffic cone would have been a better sub than Gosling Is Obertan better or worse than a traffic cone though? Obscure reference, but can we do what they did in Renford Rejects, where the 5 aside team said they had signed Alan Shearer, and it turned out to be just a cardboard Cut out? Stick a cardboad David Ginola on the left

I was joking about Gouffran, but in a way, Cisse was our replacement for Ba (being shifted upfront from right wing) and Gouffran being shifted onto the other wing (than Jonas?) was the replacement for Cisse being there, so in an indirect way...

I'd have him if he wasn't such a pisshead. He's looked under better control at West Ham, id hire a member of staff to patrol him 24/7 to cut this out! Seriously though you are right, his fitness has underpinned his failings for me. That picture floating around of him and Nolan with the watertank things shows he has shifted the excess weight, and just needs to focus on his play now. Looks miles more up for it this season, especially since xmas. Nolan effect tbh

We're safe with a game to spare it we beat QPR, Wigan beat Swansea but lose to Arsenal and Villa lose to Chelsea. Ok but you still get the point here, we are relying on ourselves and 2 other results either way, where as we could have had it wrapped up with just us and 1 other if it were'nt for last night. May sound like nitpicking individual results but its so close down there, we need every little advantage and inch towards safety we can get!

People forget how well rounded he was at Newcastle. Just saw a video on the youtubes analyzing his play on the opening day 2010-11. Stick proper wingers either side of him but keep the same midfield, we will be decent. There was one part where he just ran past some of their midfield. He has a deceptive level of pace considering his height and does not need to live off long balls from centre backs. This depends alot on the manager, but seeing those videos reminded me of being excited over our set pieces, and not as worried when defending them. He isnt Kevin Davies, man.... (black and white tinted specs maybe)

Weirdly, despite results not being better, we are playing better football as in we are hoofing it less. We are still crap at retaining the ball but at least we are not plodding it up 50 yards. Still the age old problem of not having proper wingers like...

Came here to post this, he seemed to catch on after. Amazing scenes. Yup. He's made himself look an absolute bell (again). Good to know he checks his facts thoroughly Someone needs to create a new parody account so Lee Ryder can have a go at Looke Edwarts...

My point was that if we beat QPR, it should be enough due to the sheer number of teams down there, but if Sunderland were a point below, id have been a lot more comfortable as we could have been mathematically safe next weekend. Our only chance of wrapping it up this weekend is if we win and Wigan lose both games.

Thing is, lets assume we win at QPR and Southampton beat Sunderland, the mackems point last night means we are screwed on GD if you then assume we lose to Arsenal. Alot of assumptions like, but i kind of feel despite all the teams like Norwich, Southampton and Fulham being dragged into this, its between us, Wigan, Sunderland and Villa. Villa have a nightmare couple of games coming up. You have to think Chelsea will be fired up and Wigan are seemingly as in form as anyone at the minute. Also for what its worth, Southampton have looked great under Pochettino.

Until he turns up in a local gym wearing a San Lorenzo shirt and enjoys himself, I trust Colo...
