There must still be some prospect that he won't need it in the immediate future in any case otherwise why hang on? In any case from what I have seen of him you can understand why we took a punt on him, he looks a quality player. Like Dave said, they have Cabaye and Best down with the same thing, and Cabaye just played 90 minutes. Probably not accurate.

The way he responded right after the challenge makes me think it happened then. I'd have to watch it again, though.

It seems like he all the tools to be a decent player at least, just doesn't seem to assert himself enough in games. Hope to see him grow a bit over the next few seasons, he could be really good.
