  1. surely this is blatantly against some rule?
  2. He's been great since the restart
  3. That’s fair enough but the PL also need to accept by bundling their rights for the MENA region, it is also unreasonable to expect a nation to accept an offshoot of Al Jazeera into their country. Yes there’s no excusing the piracy and let’s be honest we all know their guilty of that. However, say the NFL bundled the rights for Europe and a Russian broadcaster got the rights, would it be reasonable for U.K. to say where not allowing them to broadcast in our space, I would suggest yes it would. If I’m not mistaken there is something in test that allows for corrective action to be taken, they have introduced new anti piracy measures, and it will be interesting to see how serious they are about this when there is no legal way of watching the PL. I would have loved them to have allowed bein to broadcast to get this through, however either it was just to big of an ask for them, or they genuinely miscalculated and thought they could buy the rights. I agree on MENA. Kanji has brought it up, too. Just seems like the league were asking for it having a politically volatile region grouped together for rights purchases while also allowing nation states to purchase football clubs. They've created their own issue and now it's on them to deal with it not ignore the wellbeing of one of their shareholding clubs.
  4. Rather support your media partner than your member? Not saying that, but you don't need a conspiracy theory to connect the two.
  5. Tbf, Penis is definitely right there. The conspiracy thing ia overdone, they're literally a media partner of the Premier League and the PL will be acting in their own and their partner's own interest more than anything.
  6. Is there a reason Mitro isn't starting?
  7. Penn was right https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/08/03/dwayne-johnson-redbird-capiral-buy-xfl-for-15-million/amp/
  8. Pulisic is the only good thing about football
  9. Kind of surprised they didn't just take that. More money for them from TV and another big club in the league, but I guess allowing a nation to split up a rights region mid-cycle sets a pretty bad precedent
  10. I really feel nothing. The league dragged this on long enough to make it utterly soulless. Incredible how even a great thing at this club makes you numb.
  11. Can't believe there was a week or two where I thought we'd have new owners. Of course not, this club is cursed.
  12. Shame this is the end of Griffin Park, would've been great to see it in the Premier LEague.
  13. He was an assistant a second division club over in Phoenix for a year or two. I think that's it.
  14. would be great, impossible to get excited about anything though
  15. Kind of reads to me like he's talking about the Premier League expecting the government to give the a recommendation/make a decision for him. Either way there's like five different sides to this all talking about different things. Really well-handled situation all around.
  16. From the article Is that out of the ordinary to have a minority party making day-to-day decisions?
  17. Yeah we had no restrictions on what we were able to shout a teammates. Don't think the US is an advanced enough footballing nation for us to catch onto confusing opponents like that.
  18. I think there are different rules in the UK for what you're allowed to shout/say compared to over here. Or at least that's what my English coach told me years ago. Either way, keepers are yelling something when they claim a ball in the air.
  19. Same reason they shout "mine" when going to claim the ball, I always assumed. It's not like defenders always know what the keeper behind them is doing. Better to have more communication than none.
  20. I was only in Liverpool briefly but i thought it was great. Felt welcomed on a night out and the next day when we accidentally walked into an Everton pub while my s/o had a Liverpool scarf on. Honestly surprised how willing northerners are to call other northern cities shit. Particularly when people in the south seem to think northern cities are rundown hell holes when they've never even stepped foot in most of them. The ones I've been too are great and i wish more people would visit them to see.
  21. Frank de Boer sacked by Atlanta. Had turned it around a bit last year until imploding over the last few weeks.
  22. Good news. Former players on twitter have never been wrong about a takeover before.
