Would be very unfair to judge a player who hasn't had a run of games (especially when caused by lengthy spells out injured)

I was very sceptical when I first heard about this idea before the season. Thought it'd be abit cheesy. Totally wrong, its class.

This has now changed to Sunday, but only just. I agree with what a previous poster said about the 'roar'. Normally it's the whole ground at once, instant noise, but on Sunday it was this strange crescendo that seemed to get louder and louder. Was awesome to be part of it!

What a roller coaster of emotions at the game yesterday! Was horrible after the roar of Villa's first 'phantom' goal was celebrated, I was stood staring at my phone saying to people round me, it's still not showing.. for like 5 mins until some lad infront went inside to check the teles and came back and confirmed 0-0. Was a fantastic atmosphere until the Brighton goal came through, then has to be said was so quiet and flat, understandably was pretty gutting! Then Gayle came on and his celebration right infront of us in the gallowgate, then as they were jogging back I caught a glimpse of someone on our bench going nuts, then the crowd slowly erupted! Hardly anyone round me celebrated until we had a phone confirmation, then about 15 secs later it popped up on my phone and I was just screaming thrusting my phone in peoples faces demanding to see it Unreal like, was shaking until their game was confirmed. On reflection all seems abit daft going nuts for winning the 2nd tier, but after what we've endured over the last 10 years, it was incredible. Nothing but love for Rafa.

I think for another year he'll be good enough and would help our defensive. Undeniably better than what we have and for free which leaves more money for other signings, like in every other position! With this squad he possibly would... However we would not have 50k+ every week. We would not be starting games with the whole of the gallowgate singing the managers name!! I agree with some of your sentiment, I've been disappointed with alot of Rafa's decisions too.. but its RAFA BENITEZ.. we're Newcastle in the fucking Championship..! Not supporting him is suicide. He has completely galvanised the club when it was crumbling. Look at the support we're getting at home (albeit with too much grumbling when its not going to plan) and away. We need to continue to back him or we're stuck with Ashley and whatever joker he'll find

totally agree. Ashleys the one that needs convincing- Im not sure hes listening Also agree I find people saying there's not much difference in the two leagues puzzling. I have a ST and I've never seen such poor standard of football at SJP, from both teams. Honestly the quality of some of the teams that have come and beaten us is absolutely embarrassing. The reffing is beyond belief too.

Snap I had the same feeling about that Norwich game, It was the biggest buzz I'd had at SJP in a long time. I doubt it will be topped this season apart from when we (hopefully) seal promotion. But yeah I'm looking forward to the games again, can't wait for saturday, some pre match beers in a good mood! And hopefully another win!
