  1. Slagging of Shearer's managerial credentials.. Someone with no experience expected to turn around the most dysfunctional outfit in the league. It was absolutely ridiculous expecting shearer to get us out of that mess. Don't forget that bizarre quote from Ashley post relegation about the Shearer appointment being his best decision.. Depressing..

Terrible name but not surprised.. In fact I'm surprised his name has lasted so long. "Shearers" wasn't the best but it was good for away fans to mingle early in the day and its a fun name for them. Nine means nothing to vistors, and worst of all, it sounds shit.
  3. All part of the 8 year plan.. Why are people worried? Everyone wanted pardew out now they want him to stay?
  4. I'm not here This isn't happening I'm not here, I'm not here....

    Alan Pardew

Europa cup again next season I reckon. Either that or a good cup run- this is something I have been very disappointed with newcastle over the last 5+ years, not taking the early stages of cups seriously and getting knocked out by minnows.
  6. Tbh, I thought it was absolutely lush to play on (was it going to be anything else?) but you could definitely see it had a fair bit of wear.. and that was after 2 or 3 days? They are having matches very regularly on it though; 2 teams were leaving as we came in, and the next teams were on ~30 mins after we'd finished our game.

progress so far.. They don't seem to be painting right to the edges- just doing enough to cover the letters, so theres uneven old gray paint round the edges http://imgr.es/7LG http://imgr.es/7LG

Pardew got this season wrong, and we've had no luck this year for him to hide behind. However he should be given at least another half season, a fresh start, to prove that he is capable. He's earned that from last season's performance.
  10. I'd like to think we offer the league abit more than wigan
  11. Never mind them, I think most of us think they would. His impact was clear, just like Messi's was like night. Picked everyone up momentarily. Aside from the result though I think had I not been to Brugge and Benfica away, been a pretty mediocre campaign in terms of performances. Having said that, with the squads we've been fielding, can't complain too much.
  12. I'm quite pissed but thats the best post in terms of 'sensibleness' in ages. Spot on, totally agree.
  13. Spot on unfortunately. We weren't lucky enough. The only way we were getting through this tie was through luck and we didn't have it. Home and away.
  14. Same. If that had of stood then I would be delighted right now. However you cant forget that they've had many chances themselves to score
  15. TBF, last time I saw Marv he was in agony sat on his arse
  16. Welcome to the coverage of Newcastle vs Benfica. Lets talk about Chelsea. And now time for another advert break.
