Did i read somewhere that we were the only premiership club not to score from a direct free kick last season, or some shit like that? I know last night wasn't a league game, but between taylor and cabaye it'd be interesting to see how many free kicks we convert this season. I bet we're 5 or 6 points better off on this aspect alone. Last year we humped the ball up the field, Carroll knocked it down and Nolan scored. Effective and just what was needed to keep us up. Them days are gone though, we're a better side now. Like some have said, i would him to be our next boss. I still think he's a good few years away from the premiership though. Which is cool, hopefully we won't be changing managers for a while anyway.

I fully agree taylor has done enough to stay in the side, and i never thought i'd say that, but for Santon full debut i'd prefer Jonas in front of him instead of Obertan.

In recent year when we played the likes of man united then i'd be thinking let's not get humiliated, now i honestly feel we can give them a game. Not saying we'll will like, but we've made massive strides forward.

Was thinking this yesterday. There's a lot of players who'd like to call themselves "box to box", but few cover as much ground as Cabaye, he is literally everywhere. I hope it doesn't catch up with him later in the season.

He needs as many minutes as possible, and with the games we have coming up what we won't get a better opportunity than Wigan at home to get him settled. No brainer for me, he has to start.
