  1. Just having a read on redcafe again, some dude claiming we never had a shot in the entire match. When they broadcast the game in singapore and brisbane do they cut to commercials everytime the opposition cross the halfway line?
  2. I've been thinking this all day. I can't get my head around the fact that a guy who seemingly has it all, and everything going for him, has taken his own life. I'd sooner remain baffled than hear in the press that he'd done a giggs.
  3. Someone on the radio before was saying leeds fans consider him one of their own. Everton fans see him as part of the Everton family. Here he's a honorary geordie. Pretty much sums the man up really, loved and respected by everyone. R.I.P Gary, you'll be sadly missed.
  4. Givens shot stopping was unreal, if he'd been a bit taller and been able to take crosses he'd have been the best around. Krul is in the same league re shot stopping, but he has the height too and will come for everything he thinks he can claim. Which in my book means he has the potential for greatness.

I'd love to see 433 at home with best hba and ba. If jonas is out and best is back it could be a goer.
  6. One of the managers at my work left a few days after i started, there was a cake being dished out and i asked for a piece with temazepam on. Meaning marzipan, went down like a lead ballon.
  7. Ae and David Edgar next to him. Edgar was the one I've recognised first there. Is that Huntington in the middle, too? I thought it was steven gerrard!
  8. I've never felt anything close to confident going to old trafford, but this year is possibly the best i've ever felt. Not saying much, granted. I still think we'll lose though.

    St James' Park

There's as much chance of it being Greggs as there is Nike.
  10. No shame there like. Even in the first half hour when we barely touched the ball, they never really looked like they were gonna score. We made a couple of mistakes, they punished us, hey ho. In years gone by we'd have folded but in the second half we stayed solid and gave it our best shot. Like i said, no shame at all. If we continue to play like we have all season we're on for uefa cup spot.

I know it's been done to death, but no brand worth a bean would want to be associated with the shower of shite that run our club. And nobody in his right mind would pay millions to name a stadium that isn't brand new. As people will always call it by the old name. Like it or not we're stuck with sports direct.
  12. The heart the size of a pea thing. If the keeper was 6'6" but didn't come to take crosses, or he wouldn't drop at attackers feet, then maybe you could say he was a shithouse. Not sure any of that applies to Forster though.

Re: the red puma logos on the east stand, we wouldn't be putting them up if they weren't there for the long term. Just like the sports direct logo next to them, which i'd bet my left nut will be there next year as well as on the front of our shirts.
  14. 12 months ago Krul had been ok but a little shaky. Was prone to flap and the back four had looked nervous, while Forster was seemingly having a better time. His position in the 1st team at Celtic was secure and he was playing well. It was probably quite reasonable to want Forster here and given a chance.

I've just been reading in the paper about how he changed the name of the stadium to sportdirect@st james park two years ago? Did he? I remember something in the news at the time but in the two years since i'd say precisely ZERO people have called it that. It is and it always will be st james park. And if some mug wants to stump up a few million to have their logo replace the sports direct ones then more fool them! You can name a brand new stadium, like the reebok or the emirates. But in a case like ours the name won't change. People will call it what they've always called it.
  16. Mildly amusing when he plays for somebody else. Was sad to see him go at the time but i'm glad he's gone now.
  17. Couldn't care less about all this media stuff. To be honest i reckon it'll work in our favour. The players must be keen as mustard for the city game to come around, they've (we've) got absolutely nothing to lose, the whole world expects us to get a hiding. But if we work the way we have all season, keep it tight for as long as possible, who knows?
  18. Barring the clowns sky sports news seem to interview, we're generally a very cautious bunch. Overly so, in a lot of cases.
  19. Nope. I thought at 2-0 we were cruising and would go on to win comfortably. Was fully expecting our first emphatic win of the season. As it turned out we limped over the line, again. who gives a monkeys though? Wer're consistantly winning games we never used to.

    Ryan Taylor

Cheers. Was thinking earlier that scoring a goal like that would be cool against his boyhood club, that said it'd be just as cool against their biggest rivals.

    Ryan Taylor

Slight tangent like but does anyone know if he's an everton fan? Barton and Nolan's childhood club was always common knowledge but i've never heard anything about taylor.
  22. I'm sure it'll be a close game. But this bit here baffles me. I seriously doubt our players are getting big headed, thinking we're champions league material.
  23. Craig Burley is the worst ever, he hates us too. Birtles is shite. Not really too offended by anyone else. Gary Neville, i'll be honest here, i wanted to dislike him but he's quite good. I wish he say "i think" a bit less though.
