Queue the usual "what's the point, not going to achieve anything, may as well do nothing" rubbish.

Fuck off proper fan? You are not a fan at all if you want the club pillaged and raped by this horrible man. If you aren't willing to sacrifice one Wednesday night for the good of the club then you are no fan at all. I too was and am really looking forward to the Leeds game but I've had enough now. The only way fans can send any sort of message is to simply vacate the stadium but oh no 'proper fans' like you will continue to go every week and buy his horrible wonga tat and suck Ashley's dick. Get a grip.

I think you're missing the point. Sure, we're not spending next seasons inflated money. I get that. Why though can't we spend this seasons? What we spend in January was surely last seasons because we spent almost nowt the summer before, so where's that gone? In fact, over the last 5 years we have a net spend of 0. Behind every other club in the league. Here, have a look: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html We're not spending any of our TV money ever, so what gives you the remotest confidence that Ashley is going to do anything other than trouser next years as well? Well he does own the club and he can trouser as much money as he wants. Its his money after the fans hand it over. If you dont like the product he provides dont buy it. Its as simple as that. A football club is not the same as any other business! Its a cultural institution that has represented the city of Newcastle for over 100 years. It has been part of some peoples entire lives and is much more than a 'if you don't like it don't spend your money.' Newcastle United is not Mike Ashley's regardless of if he owns it or not. Unfortunately not true: it is absolutely his and he can do with it what he wants. This is exactly what he has been doing and will continue to do so. As with any other company, unhappy customers could cause a change in the running of the company. That is the only solution.... but as long as people show up regardless he has no need to change. I don't think you understand. We are not customers, we are supporters. Get real - you are giving him your money and as such, are a customer - you may call yourself a supporter if it makes you feel good(or justifies what you do), but like it or not, you are a customer of Sports Direct when you buy ANYTHING Ashley is selling. That may be true, but it shouldn't be the case. Hence my opposition to Mike Ashley.

Why would NUFC/Sports Direct want other companies to advertise? It's all there for SD to get as much exposure as possible. Well that's exactly my point. And it's going to kill us in the future, even if Ashley leaves. Will take a lot to recover from the 'Sports Direct' brand.
-
NUFC was once a proud stand-alone club that was owned by people from the North East and represented Newcastle. Now what is it?
-
The worst part of this is it's killing the NUFC brand. We're going to be seen as a tacky nothing club with shit merchandise and shit online presence. Our website is complete garbage compared to other clubs. Why would any company want to advertise with Newcastle when we are just a toxic brand?
-
I have tickets for this and it will be the last tickets I buy until Mike Ashley goes. I've had enough.
-
There's some cracking questions in there. Got to be worrying having SD tills in the club shop and receipts with SD on them....Is the club shop now outsourced? That is a complete disgrace.
-
16 years ago this month, we beat Barcelona 3-2.
-
That is the face of it all really. Mike Ashley has turned NUFC into something that is no longer something to be proud of. It is a toxic brand.

We're so shit.
-
We spent 10 or 11 million on Cisse. I don't think anything will happen for us tomorrow. They've been actively avoiding spending any money all summer IMO. I get the impression we'd love to sell a big player or 2 to fund signings but the fact our players have been shit for so long doesn't help. The Gomis business is a great example of why our transfer dealings are so fundamentally flawed, we reach a sticking point in a deal so end up just going without. I meant half the world record, which as of today would be £42.5m, although - I can't see us even spending over £15m with the current setup!
-
I cant believe we once broke the world transfer record for Shearer. Can't even see us spending half of it ever again.
-
 What a magnificent little fat french bastard.
-
Give over. The guy's been disrespecting the club and being a complete prick about it. I paid £30 today to watch 70 minutes of crap until the good stuff started and he gets paid tens of thousands a week and he refuses to play? Deserves the boos and deserves praise if he starts putting in a decent shift.
-
We should lobby parliament for a 51% law like Germany. It isn't fair to expect people to boycott the matches. Football clubs are cultural institutions rather than a traditional business and therefore should not be treated like one in my opinion.

Is the ticket office still selling tickets for this game?

2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143
Rosenrot replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
So it's shit but you still bought it? Jesus christ... -
When does this guy's contract expire?
-
That is exactly the problem. People are so disillusioned and fed-up because the pride and expectation of the club has lowered so much that people don't even think we could challenge as a 'big club' anymore. It's disgraceful.

That's all Ashley's doing IMO. I remember seeing Newcastle's kit displayed proudly besides Real Madrid's in the window of Adidas's large Paris store, oh how we have fallen.
