Jesus it doesn't take much for Pardew's merry band to come out chest thumping.

*sigh* Ugh. Are you saying that you want Kinnear? Because a few of us have discussed this and decided that that is definitely the only alternative. Good post.

OK but feel free to say "OK so the football was not sustainable in the season we finished 5th but the winning formula we've seen against Spurs and Chelsea is different because of X" To me it looks more or less the same even player by player : Gouff for Jonas - very similar swap. Ameobi/Best. Sissoko/Obertan - fulfilling the same role. Remy/Ba ect. Just sayin'

I'll just point it out now to quote it in the future. The exact people who now brush problems like HBA not being in the team under the carpet , because we won the games in question, are the same people who brushed all of the problems in the 5th place season under the carpet because we were winning games then for the most part It's as if football is so simple to these people that if you win/ are winning everything is pretty much 100% right as rain. So we've won two very good games with a hard working, plucky 4-4-2 preforming exactly the same way as we did in the season where we finished 5th. Just like then when the football was clearly not sustainable medium/long term, it is not now. Shola Ameobi and Obertan getting minutes over HBA? Come on. If you can't see the problems with getting excited over these two wins after witnessing the last two seasons unfold, I feel for ya bro. If you do see the problems and are just hoping these issues will be addressed then fair enough, but at this point it's just hope because despite AP winning two admittedly, very tough games - the same problems that have always been there are still there.

Producing your "best" form in "most" games means you a on a hot streak. Like Ramsey right now.

Aye pretty much nobody in history has ever pointed out or noticed that causation and correlation are not the same thing. Carry on, Brett.

Remember the time HappyFace's homemade statistics/source had a non-integer for goals scored or sommat Nah. Quote it. This upsets the HappyFace.
  13. People really should not engage with such proven cretins. In their own heads the attention you give them validates their awful opinions.

Nah, two of the best man managers, knowledgeable football men and respected individuals in the game would do just as s*** as Pardew is. Keegan actually did pretty damn well before the fall out. Bring Keegan in tomorrow and the upturn would be huge Much as I like Keegan and would like him back ahead of Pardew.. he didn't really do that well. He certainly didn't do 'pretty damn well'. He won 6 games out of 21. Tbf, we were very clearly going in the right direction.

    Cowardice

How come Sunderland weren't able to close down Swanseas's team and stop them from passing it? What was the score from that one again? Oh yes...4-0. Good question, a different game, less passionate fixture, less help from the fans, no new manager, less desperation for a win. Swansea are better passers than us as well obviously, if that's what you mean. But that doesn't mean that what I've said about the two sides is wrong. No new manager. I meant the new manager effect making Sunderland want to impress and give everything more than usual. Err righto. So sunderland didn't have a new manager against Swansea, is that what you're saying? Jesus. Did I ever say a new manager guarantees winning every game? I was just talking about the various factors at work in the derby. I don't know why people seek to simplify these arguments to such a degree. No, sorry hang on, you're just blatantly making s*** up there. You've attempted to give a list of reasons why their game against Swansea was different to their game against us and included "no new manager". I've put it in bold since you seem to have forgotten. They did have a new manager against Swansea but you're now trying to claim that doesn't count because it wasn't the "new manager effect" or something. Sorry , I got confused! They did have a new manager against Seansea. What I was saying was that one of the factors at work in the derby was that they have a new manager to impress. That's true regardless of what happened against Swamsea. Now go back to your post at "reply 130" and look at the knot you are in.

Agree. I reckon we should keep him as he's doing such a mint job. Let's not replace him, his team is doing well so let's give him more time to move the club forward. Good post mate mate. Keep him, sack him, doesn't really matter. Class condescending post though. Cheers. 'We might appoint someone worse' is the single worst argument I've ever heard for keeping him in a job. If the only redeeming feature of his tenure is that he may be slightly better than his possible replacement then we're in big f***ing trouble. Your posts are f***ing laughable tbh given our situation. Your head is so far up your own arsehole you can see 2015. That isn't my argument tbf Midds lad. My argument is that the manager doesn't matter. At the minute we're a nothing club and we will be until we get a new owner. The most ridiculous thing I've read on here for years. The bloke in charge of all things football 'doesn't matter'. Absolute pigshit, you're kidding no-one except yourself. It doesn't matter insomuch as we're not going to win anything or go down with any manager. Don't take posts so literally. Did you watch the football last season when Wigan and Swansea won trophies?

I know. But it's weird, right? It's weird that he hasn't been sacked. At least give me that. Giving him that 8 year contract was even stranger. I've had this "Oh come on surely he won't survive this" feeling four or five times now. He always does. I felt we may have been somewhat close after the Liverpool(thank God we avenged that one when Pardew owned Liverpool last week) and mackem thrashings last season. But after this result? Mike would not even consider it for a moment
