  1. if you just hold your hands up and clearly admit that pardew is not good enough to manage the players he has at his disposal (with no provisos and no references to other managers) this could all go away Brett, it'll all be over, we'll get ronaldo to draft you up a N-O immunity agreement for all of the crimes you've committed against football and indeed sanity, then we can move on with our lives I've said from day 1 he's the luckiest man alive to bag this job and he's out of his depth. Only reason why his achievements have looked better than Hughton's are the standard of players he’s been given. Both bang average managers who probably should be in the championship and not managing top flight clubs imo. You mean you said ON day 1. I could pull up countless quotes from you that contradict that you think he is "he's out of his depth" but I'm not arsed. You, I and everyone else know this is true.
  2. Ah man I'm trying to study here ffs
  3. If this is who qualifies as a 'comfortable top 8-10 player' then the actual list would be fucking enormous.
  4. Who are you referring to? Pardew would have that Swansea squad relegated ten times out of ten. Add to that playing in the dreaded Europa league and intermittent injuries to Bony and Michu and Pardew would set a new record low points total.
  5. Science + low crowd. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alan-pardew-admits-newcastle-united-6468956
  6. Predictable kneejerks in here Only a few days ago everybody was rightfully behind Pards after we beat the leagues top brass. Pards picked a strong team today - a team more than capable of beating Cardiff and they let him down today. The players should ask themselves "why?, why did we let Pards down?". Pards can't go out there and play the match for them all he can do is pick a team to win the match and I feel he did that today. Anyway you can't win every match in football thats just a fact so onwards and upwards and look fodward to the Man City game all we can do is get behind the lads and Pards and hope for a reaction IMHO FWIW I was at the match myself btw and I actually enjoyed it has a few jokes with a few mated stood around me.
  7. What did he say before the match like?

    Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas Brett, Ian, Inochi, Foulwasha, Haris Vukic and HappyFace. The rest of you can fuck off.
  9. maybe the same knackers that thought we were lucky to beat chelsea.
  10. No, I mean relative to their opponents. Hughton's team was stronger compared to the rest of the Championship than Pardew's current team is compared to the rest of the PL. f***ing Christ Almighty. What's up mate? You're stating the obvious to the extent it's pointless even posting it. If it were anything else, people would be saying Pardew should be challenging for the title. Have you just popped up to have a go for no reason? It followed on from a discussion about how Hughton should have been expected to do very well with the squad he had. Then I was asked to explain, so I explained. You really need to give up on the idea that every post I make has some sort of agenda to praise Pardew. If the reply to this from Ian W was another thumbs up I may have imploded with laughter and done something as sad as put it in my sig. But it didn't happen, even though it did...in his head.
  11. It is nice to have that little bit of hope now with Pardew but, to be honest, the only time I got real hope for Pardew was after the 6 game/4-3-3 run in the 5th season and then Anita was signed in the summer - I was excited, I thought we we were going for a possession style and so on. Once the season started though... well, yeah. And I'm not remotely close to that same level of hope ( ) now - but there is a glimmer. It's great that the excitement is back for most fans like but most people were being correctly conservative about our little run before the Man U result because of the manner of the performances ect. No doubt that the Man U match was our best performance too and that's the most encouraging aspect for me. But it does remain to be seen just how much of a scalp this Man U side was - West Brom did do the same to them as us tbf. Time will tell, but at least there is a glimmer I suppose.
  12. "Newcastle United into sixth... Manchester United into ...9th"
  13. What does it all mean HF? Are we looking likely to finish 5th again? And what do the stats say after that?
  14. What a fantastically meaningless typical Ian W post.
  15. Rekon Anita could carve out a decent career for himself at Swansea like.
  16. So many knee-jerk reactions to one bad day at the office. Everyone was happy during the 4 game win streak. Cry you're cyber tears. Me? Off to bang my GF and look forward to MAN U.
  17. The same tactics that has been criticized by plenty on here even after four wins... I was going to leave that for tonight and bring it up tomorrow but the claim of sitting back "all the time" after taking a lead etc, I watched west brom-villa the other week, west brom 2-0 up at half time and the second half they got battered, was that because they sat back or two teams without a gulf between them and when one takes a lead the other has more of a need to attack a bit more (like the start of the second half tonight actually). i don't think we have tactics to do that constantly, we have done it at times and we've normally paid for it, but most times it's the natural way of things like we witnessed on the box at the hawthorns. It's like the tides - there is nothing you can do about it. You're leading a team 2-0 at half time? Well they are going to react and there is nothing you can do about it. Its nature. You cant smash teams for 5 and 6 and dominate for 90 minutes in a league as tough as this. FWIW it's literally mental!
  18. Pards got the tactics spot on today IMO - the same tactics that saw us beat Swansea last year and win 4 on the bounce just this season. The players let him down today, and the luck went against us and a bad referee too. FWIW on another day we'd have nicked this 1-0. Krul let us down. Let's just get behind Pards and hope for a reaction to the end of this glorious run and a wave too.
  19. Wow, what a surprise result and performance. Completely out of the blue. You could never see this coming as everything was pretty much perfect as we had won 4 on the bounce. Bad day at the office, everything went against us. Bad luck. Well all we can do is get behind the lads and Pards and hope that we can start a new run.
  20. WHAT!?! Wait for the full time whistle and the score-line FFS. JESUS.
  21. He's claiming he's upholding traditions Bobby brought to the club, how the hell is that not a comparison? No, he's saying that SBR is an example and guiding light of those traditions, a reminder for him that he must strive to uphold the heritage and tradition of the club. Who gives a f*** anyway? Seriously? It's just more football manager rent-a-quotes. Nothing to froth at the mouth over. Pardew talks s**** 99% of the time like most other managers in the league. I thought everyone knew that we don't pay attention to anything Pardew says any more? Thought we had been through this? All we can do is hope this run continues and get behind Pards and the lads and enjoy the players we have while they're here. Me - I'm certainly enjoying it, loving it, no doubt, 100%. And so Pards wants to be more like SBR - so? Is that not a good thing? do people not like SBR? And people crying cyber tears about Pards wanting to emulate SBR
  22. It's a positive quote IMO. Whatever misgivings people might have about Pardew - the quote itself is overwhelmingly positive. Can't people just enjoy a positive quote?
