  1. Do Man United really think one player in Ugarte is going to fix all of this? They're getting over run at the moment, and if Southampton had anyone up top they'd be ahead at this point.
  2. Out of interest, how good is Amad? As I know he was really good at Sunderland, but whenever I've seen him he's flattered to deceive, is he playing as your other option is Antony and he's trash? Genuinely curious as from the outside looking in Garnacho seems to have a much higher ceiling, whereas Amad seems like he'll be a decent Premier League player, but not reach the top end of the game.
  3. Some interesting games today, even if they're not "must see" viewings, across multiple Leagues too. Southampton Vs Man United Bournemouth Vs Chelsea Villa Vs Everton Leeds vs Burnley Bolton Vs Huddersfield Wimbledon Vs MK Dons Real Sociedad Vs Real Madrid Como Vs Bologna
  4. Hope is epitome of modern journalism and online discourse. He tries to be as sensationalist as possible in order to stoke an emotion, normally negative, all to farm engagement and clicks to his shitty paper. There will probably be some semblance of truth in what he says, but it's spun so heavily and is so hyperbolic in nature that you just ignore it as the nonsense it is. When I saw the press conference yesterday and then saw his report afterwards it was night and day compared to what was actually said, and how it was reported, it's beyond a joke, and Hope deserves every bit of shit that comes his way.
  5. Squad for the first half of the season announced:
  6. Look at me, look at me, I have an assistant. Pathetic.

    Eddie Howe

Honestly the negative press spin on what for the most part was a positive press conference is hilarious
  8. Howe's deminer changed massively when Hope was asking questions, it was kind of funny. In regards to the "HOWE HASN'T HAD ANY CONTACT WITH MITCHELL" thing, Eddies words where: "No i've not had any contact with him, but thats not unusual, he has a different job remit to myself, so that happens when i'm on the training pitch".

I'm watching the presser, and this stood out:
  10. Eddies comments from his presser:
  11. In regards to Bunce, as the above comes across as there is a bit of agro between Bunce and Howe. In his presser today, in Eddie terms Howe absolutely raved about Bunce today. His exact words where: "James is working really well I have to say, I think he has been hugely impressive since he has come in, hes very passionate, hard working, involved from the very start planning phase of training, to the execution, he gives us really detailed analysis afterwards as well, so I think he's been a really good addition to the team, its been very positive." Hope going to no Hope as standard in that article.

You guys realise the first half of a press conference tends to be embargo'd right?

    Harvey Barnes

I've added him to my FPL team based on this post (And the fact Odegaard is injured), so that expected goals involvement is about to go way down
  14. If that is true, that is proper shite for West Ham fans. Another case of the Premier League not caring about the people that make the game what it is and who pays their wages.
  15. I feel a little bit dirty asking it, as it feels like sucking up to big brother corporate, but what do people think is the best "Super Sunday" intro? For me it's easily this:
  16. Interesting article, interesting thought experiment. 41 XI's, and how you rank them if they where individual teams: Ranking every Premier League XI – first choice, second choice and Chelsea’s C team https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5750586/2024/09/11/ranked-premier-league-xi/

  18. Southampton 0 v 2 Man United Brighton 1 v 1 Ipswich Palace 2 v 0 Leicester Fulham 1 v 1 West Ham Liverpool 3 v 1 Forest Man City 3 v 0 Brentford Villa 2 v 1 Everton Bournemouth 2 v 1 Chelsea Spurs 2 v 2 Arsenal Wolves 1 v 1 Newcastle
  19. Referee: Chris Kavanagh. Assistants: Lee Betts, Richard West. Fourth official: Simon Hooper. VAR: John Brooks. Assistant VAR: Timothy Wood.
  20. Gateshead still top tonight despite no playing and their being 10 games one.
