What's this about? I missed that one
-
I remember finding it very odd. Didn't even make the bench the last few games here while we were in the midst of an injury crisis. I assumed he was still injured, then he went and immediately started his first game at Leicester. Surely something was going on behind the scenes
-
That would be my ideal situation. And it seems to be the common sense solution. But isn't it widely acknowledged Eddie likes a compact 1st team squad? Don't know if he's said it outright but I've definitely heard it quite a bit over the last few windows

Maguire has given a statement. Proper snakey behaviour that. If there's an injury, he's put himself to the back of the queue

We're all Poland fans tonight yeah? I know he's not playing tonight, but it would be the ultimate comeuppance not to qualify after his strop led to him not being able to play in the qualifiers they failed to win last summer. As well as it being an absolute shambles that Sweden have been gotten to this stage after getting 2 points in qualifying, but that's another story
-
Don't know how that isn't getting flagged for simulation. Clear as day
-
I did a double take when I seen it, but I think I'm just old. £20 million 15 years ago is very different to £20 mil today. It gets you an unproven prospect, or a very average squad player at the top level these days
-
Just noticed Kenneth Taylor has gone to Lazio. How did that slip under the radar?! He'd have been the perfect replacement, and he went for less than we'll get for Willock!
-
We've got 6. In an ideal world we'll get another and allow Miley to go and get 30 games on loan. But it's daft to say him and Willock aren't good enough to start in the league
-
Anyone know the crack for attending academy games? Are they generally open to the public? I know u21s are, but not sure about u18s
-
Surely there's not a chance it'll be on the 19th, no matter what. If Palace go out the cup, it'll be moved to Sunday or Monday. But your main point still stands
-
Does it matter if he plays well and helps us get promoted? I guess not, but if we get promoted I think it would be in spite of him rather than because of him. He couldn't motivate himself to perform in the biggest league in the world, I can't see it happening in the Championship
-
Admire the clubs stance on not budging on the fee, but the biggest worry for me is that he stays, gets back in the team and the rest of the world realise there's no way on earth he's even a £15m player, never mind 30. Can see us accepting a bit less if we get a couple hours from the deadline and nothing's happened
