He's a wee rat bastard. Can't wait until we get rid. He should never have come on for Garnacho.

Coventry 1 shot until the 70th minute. A shinned goal, a huge deflection and a pen in 24 minutes and suddenly were a spawny team again for winning. If anyone was lucky there, it was Coventry. Goal, assist, scored in the shootout for the winning side. Who else?

Casemiro is 9/4 to be booked in most places today. With Kambwala injured now, Maguire is the only fit centre back, so Casemiro likely going to have to play there. Amrabat is injured as well so Mainoo is going to be the lone DM. He isn't a DM, and his support is going to come from McTominay, who isn't a footballer. The defence is going to be unbelievably exposed. Feel like it's a certainty.

It's the way it should be tbh. We've been so badly run we end up having to pay people for years after they leave. never seem to have any bargaining power whatsoever because of the stupid deals we put people on.
-
Doesn't this go towards FFP though? I suggested in another thread you would spend heavily again in the summer, and other posters suggested you won't have much of a budget at all and that it will likely continue into subsequent windows. There's being rich and ruthless and there's being stupid. I still think a deal will be done in and around the £10m mark once the summer window closes.
-
We approached them on the 1st of April. You've shared an article that says in the second paragraph we're yet to approach them. This deal was done very quickly.
-
I think they reluctantly agreed an acceptable compensation fee. What do you mean by finally? This wasn't drawn out in the slightest. We only made the move for him at the start of April.
-
What do you mean finally?

No issues with City and Southampton for Berrada and Wilcox. Ashworth still in his garden...
-
City should have won that.

My entire point. you don't need to tell me how shit we are. But I read on here every week how the other team "should" be 4 and 5 up. That we "should" have lost but fluked a win. Or we "should" be behind because someone was offside when they shouldn't have been (the most hilarious one). PSG "should" have won. By a couple of goals at least. But they didn't. So did Newcastle deserve to go through due to defensive resilience or did they deserve to go out as they were massively outplayed throughout the 98 mins? The ask yourself, when we've been outplayed but kept a clean sheet and nicked a goal. Are we lucky, or defensively resilient and deserve to be where we are in the table?
-
What do I get from using someone's bullshit against them? A lot. "Should" my arse.
-
Oh I know. They "should" have been though right?
-
Why not? You're the king of "shoulds." "Should be 4 to Bournemouth." "Man United should have lost because Solanke shouldn't have been offside." Well PSG absolutely battered you in that game (4.68xg - 1.40) They "should" have been 4-1 up. So should they have gone through or not?
-
Well deserved.

He is thee problem. The next biggest problem is that Ten Hag can't see it.
-
They're not good though. They beat us with two dodgy pens and a deflected goal. Two of which were in the 100th and 101st minute after there was 8 minutes of added time. They're one of only a handful of teams we actually thumped this season. We should have beaten them by 5 or 6 in December. I don't think they're closing the gap. Maybe on us, but not you.
-
The patience excuse isn't being bought by anyone. Ten Hag is making all the wrong decisions and saying all the wrong things now and starting to lose support. When he complained about injuries we agreed, as our defensive injuries are unprecedented. The issue now though isn't the defence, it's the gaping hole in our midfield, and the midfield three of Casemiro, Mainoo and Fernandes is full strength. His tactics are responsible. We can obviously get away with it to an extent when we have Shaw, Martinez and Varane at full fitness, but not when it's Maguire and Kambwala in the middle with Wan Bissaka at left back. Newcastle have actually set an example and shown how you can be competitive and still control games despite a multitude of injuries. Brentford battered us despite their entire back four being missing. There's no excuses anymore. He needs to change his philosophy until he has the right players or he'll lose his job. Continuing to start players like Rashford and Casemiro with these tactics will be the end of him.

With all due respect to Leicester, they're not Newcastle United. The spending is based on revenue like you said, and in my opinion your revenue will rocket, allowing you to spend more and pay higher wages. The gap will close. It might be slow, but it will close.
-
With a revenue 1/3 of ours.
-
Even when we play well we still give up a lot of chances. Limit us to 1 goal and you win the game.
-
An extremely strange thought process. You spent heavily and have already broke into the status quo. You're already easily a better side than us and Chelsea and I'd say arugably better than Spurs.
