I didn't say that though. I was asked why I think some performances have been atrocious. Varane and Martinez not being in the team is a huge reason, Ten Hag's fault or not.
-
Make it top 9 and you'll really enjoy yourself.
-
Top 3 or 4 managers in the league if we're going by this season and last surely?
-
Well he was. We still don't know if there is a dispute. It could simply be that Varane was injured and Ten Hag thought Evans done well enough to keep his place. I doubt it though.
-
don't forget Ten Hag finished third and got to the final of the FA Cup as well. Not bad for a poor manager.
-
Whatever the reason, Varane isn't playing. It's nothing to do with Ten Hag not fancying him. I've said numerous times before that we've backed Ten Hag with all decisions so far, but the Varane one is worrying. He has always seemed like a model professional, so it's the first player/manager dispute where the manager might not be backed.
-
You've been against Varane for years Neesy and I've never understood it. He's elite, and he's our best centre back. As good as Martinez is, Varane is much better.
-
You know who they are. Why are you asking?
-
Thank you mate, glad someone else agrees with me.
-
you know I can take it. Thickest skin on here. Your patter is just better than that. He'd definitely be on the block losing both, but the manner of the defeat also matters. I would think he'd survive two losses, but we would then need to go on a pretty decent run for him to continue in the job. It's fairly clear what the best team is now. If he continues with the silly decisions he only has himself to blame. Jim'll fix it anyway.

Yes and no. I don't think a manager should have that much control at any club. There's a question mark over Ten Hag's signings in regards to their quality, but zero question about their desire. It's not Ten Hag's signings that down tools when things are going bad. It is Ten Hag who continues to pick these players though so this is where he will come under criticism. Antony, Hojlund, Martinez, Amrabat etc. some might criticise their quality and fair enough, but they always give 100%
-
Don't go down this route. I've been one of your biggest defenders in the past. You're a way better poster than to be coming out with that nonsense.
-
I think missing two high class centre backs is very important aye, but I don't believe I've ever said it's nothing to do with Ten Hag. He's made some really questionable decisions. Martial over Hojlund today another one. He's in a little bit of trouble given that our next two games are Bayern and Liverpool.
-
Hojlund is an excellent player. There's talk he's struggling with fitness. If he's fit and Martial is starting over him it's completely unforgiveable.
-
Never said they were.
-
Reeks of when you said Federer would never get back to #1 this. You're calling teams above you in the table irrelevant. Have a word.
-
You leave Cuba alone. He's one of the few posters on here able to post sensibly and not let emotion butcher his posts.
-
Just facts being said again mate. Nice to meet you anyway. You new?
-
The xG was 3.17 to 1.27. We had 69% possession today and two of their goals were from two massive mistakes. I'm just in favour of balance and hate hypocrisy. And that's not aimed at you by the way. You're golden.
-
I don't know the ins and outs of why he isn't playing, so would naturally back the manager. Martial over Hojlund though. I don't know about that.
-
Indeed. A freak result.
-
KaKa needs to stop paying attention to his goals and more to how he's playing in midfield.
-
Rafael Varane on the bench BTW.
-
Look Cuba, they all told me xG was important. So that's what I'm going by.
-
All good mate. Still above you in the table last I checked.
