  1. Or give him three months off on full pay to try and gather himself.
  2. What's everyone's thoughts on this in all seriousness? There's zero evidence for any of the allegations yet Antony claims he has evidence which will refute them. I dislike the guy so don't care if he's not playing for us but seems a bit extreme for players to halt their careers based on unproven accusations.
  3. Your view is wrong. He's a selfish player. Maybe not for Brazil but certainly for us. There's often overlapping runs or Bruno Fernandes who's the most creative player in the league waiting for the ball and Antony will shoot instead from an impossible angle. We don't lack ideas offensively either. We just don't have a striker. Haven't for a long time now. As said above we have Bruno Fernandes who created more chances and big chances than anyone else and had the highest xA in the league last season, but didn't have a striker on the end of the chances. Hojlund has shown more in 20 minutes than Weghorst did in 30 appearances. Give me Obertan over Antony.
  4. He's a greedy bastard. Always trying to cut inside and shoot. He did show signs the last couple of games of going to the byline and crossing in which was a welcome sight, but aye, one of the most frustrating players we've ever had. Very unlikeable as well. Typical Brazilian Flip.
  5. Certainly. Too early just yet though.
  6. Aye. He's played 700 minutes at a deeply unsettled club. Absolutely silly to have him anywhere near an all time PL flop list. I'd say given the money, Sancho is a worse flop than Pepe as well.
  7. We rejected a bit from Saudi yesterday from him. very strange way of bullying him out of the club. Sancho is highly thought of, and has been protected and supported through his mental health issues. If Ten Hag said his level in training isn't up to scratch, then I'd say it's because his level in training wasn't up to scratch.
  8. Some people aren't coming but still want to watch the draw. I'm hoping a sequin jacket makes an appearance.
  9. Simon Jordan has actually been alright lately so that's a bit disappointing from him. The shock horror that a club who generated £6b in revenue over the last 10 years spends 20% of it on transfers. The Glazer's still don't put anything into it but have cost the club nearly £2b. Our interest payments alone since they took over hit over £900m last month. I really don't get what is hard to understand.
  10. That's a nothing story to be fair. Ten Hag has said about players being mentally ready a lot. The club didn't go public about his mental health. There's no wrongdoing with Sancho. Greenwood on the other hand...
  11. Well ignore this. They had a meeting today and sorted it out. He'll be in the squad for the next game.
  12. I'd say we would have let him go if it wasn't for Antony's situation.
  13. Not sure I agree with Sancho like. He has been super protected. All Ten Hag said is that his performance wasn't good enough in training when asked why he wasn't in the squad. It was likely the truth.
  14. Nah it's getting to breaking point in regard to supporters' anger. That's all down to the owners though. They really do need to sell like they said they would or it'll get very ugly. It hasn't been a good start to the season, but the fans aren't going to turn on Ten Hag after 4 games. I think we actually played quite well against Arsenal and were very unlucky to lose that game like we did. Fine margins. Saying that if Lindelof and Martinez aren't fit after the internationals we're fucked if we're starting Evans and Maguire.
  15. Obviously any character assassination by the media is despicable, but the club gave a £73m signing 3 months off and all the help he needed because he was struggling with his mental health. I think we've done well in that regard for once. Sancho has never been a scapegoat either like he's claimed. The likes of Maguire must have been astounded at him playing the victim after what he's had to go through.
  16. Ask me a few weeks ago and it was 100%. Now it's 95%. Has made a few baffling decisions with the team the last few weeks but at the same time I always chuckle at the thought of that making me lose confidence in a manager. As if I know better. He's had to deal with an awful lot like. Both off field issues from his players and injuries. I think he's going to come down hard on Sancho and I don't hate that. It's nice to have a manager with authority.
  17. Sancho was 100% in the wrong with his statement. It just pales in comparison to the other shit going on at the club which should be taking the headlines. ETH shielded him when he was off for months to sort his head out and constantly defended his performances in the media and gave him plenty of chances. He was massively protected. Nobody will take Sancho's side over Ten Hag's with this one.
  18. Supporters of the club have nothing to complain about though, look at the spend on transfers! An absolute shitshow of a club.
  19. I think he's pure shite. He tracked back well against Arsenal and it's the first time in a while I wasn't completely disgusted with him, but he's got absolutely nothing going forward. Has a decent shot on him and wins a few corners, but struggles to beat defenders and can't use his right foot. Fake pace one trick pony he is.
  20. An action that leads to a shot, presumably.
  21. If it's true then I send my thoughts and prayers to the victim but I would be fucking buzzing if Antony never played for us again.
