ASM and Almiron have done the square route of fuck all so far.

There were lots of good performances tonight but ASM noticeably did nothing again when he came on and Almiron is regressing at almost the same speed as he improved earlier this season. Gordon is going to be starting very quickly.

Really needed a defensive midfielder to be doing what Bruno is having to do and doing so badly.

Newcastle have joined the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Piero Hincapie. Hincapie has been on Tottenham's radar and the club reportedly had a bid for the player rejected, according to Football Insider.

I'd replace Willock before Longstaff. In the short to medium term we will need to upgrade/replace a lot of our starting players if we want to consistently challenge the top 4. Only Pope, Botman, Bruno and Isak are probably of the quality we are going to need going forward.

If Ziyech comes in he surely just replaces Almiron and I'm not sure he's much of an upgrade. Extremely left footed, good crosses and the occasional wonder goal but not much else.

I think the jury is also out on Targett, who is reasonable defensively but doesn't add much going forward. More importantly Howe seems to much prefer playing Dan Burn as LB. I'm sure this position will get upgraded pretty quickly.

I'm not sure where this idea has come from that Forest are going to pay us 15m for him. They obviously paid a small 6 month loan fee, everything else is dependent on a whole set of targets that we have no idea about.

They will stay on the same wages whether or not they play at Chelsea or get loaned out somewhere else. They are also getting 8 year contracts recently which is unheard of for players. None of them are turning down Chelsea because they don't think they will play that much. Chelsea's wages are how much more than ours. 2 to 3 I expect, maybe more. We can't at the moment compete with them for a certain kind of player.

There is no logic in the world that can justify paying 25m for Chris Wood.

I think we would be better off starting ASM and when he runs out of steam bring on Willock to replace him. Big Joe should only ever start in midfield. Isak needs to start instead of someone.

Wilson is either not fully fit or age and injuries have caught up with him. He's way of the pace.

I mean we are way better than palace, but some of our attacking play so far today has been really shit. Both Joes, Wilson, Almiron none of them look like scoring. Time for ASM and Isak.

If Willock is going to play wide left he needs to produce a lot more.

BBC are reporting a loan with an option to buy not even an obligation if if if and if various things happen. Probably back in the summer

If we had paid 10m for Wood we would have overpaid, the fact we paid 25m was ridiculous and has set a nasty precedent for the club.
