  1. Who are the six? Tiote Colo Ba Krul Cabaye ... .... Obertan?
  2. Well only geordiemonster and Ethi. Ah. Meh. I think everyone has to be realistic though and realise that he probably is on the radar of clubs like Chelsea or Man U (simply because he's a f***ing good player) and that they probably can afford to spend £20m+ on him and that there'd be something wrong with him were his head not turned by links to these clubs. Probably the most important thing is that he has a price and the buying clubs know that. Fair enough, out of the players who are most likely to go next month, Tiote is probably the most likely. But I personally don't think he looked like a player who wants out tonight. Just looked short of match fitness to me. Pretty confident he won't leave next month but summer is another matter.... I still think there is a fair chance at least one player will leave in Jan and our most saleable assets are Tiote, Colo, Ba and Krul. Any of the other three will have a far more detrimental impact I reckon.
  3. He gets through an incredible amount of work when Raylor is LB. One of my players of the season so far.
  4. His ability to just hold off a defender is phenomenal. He has great touch as it is, but there were a few times that he'd have been in on goal if hed just controlled it better. The defender on him had no chance. He has impressed me beyond all measure. If he stays fit he'll be a 20+ goals a season striker for 5 or more years.

  6. I am praying Senegal get disqualified from African Cup of Nations.
  7. Well only geordiemonster and Ethi. Well I don't know what the Enrique body language thread was BUT the fact is Enrique's body language suggested he wanted to leave and it is an undisputed fact that he no longer plays for us.....
  8. I don't pretend to know much about refs guidelines, but someone not a part of the game came on the pitch and attacked him and he retaliated. Not sure why that would have merited a red card as it was unconnected to the game. It was violent conduct whilst on the field of play. It doesn't matter who it's against. Bollocks that like. So if the bloke had a baseball bat and the keeper did this he'd still get sent off? Where's the understanding of context? Or to even take it to the next extreme, a knife (which I don't think is beyond the realms of possibility). As a rubbish analogy, I expect to be able to go to work and not be attacked by someone who doesn't work there. I wouldn't expect to be sacked if one of my customers came in and punched me for no reason and I retaliated.
  9. You'd sell one of our best and arguably our most important player? If his mind is elsewhere then he needs to go for the best price we can get for him. He was awful tonight - no denying he is a great player, but he seems to be trying to avoid injury with a view to going elsewhere. I don't want to lose a focussed Tiote, but this new, not improved version? Not really that arsed. Any evidence of this, or just the one poor display? No evidence no, just what I thought based on tonight's game. The old Tiote was brave to the point of being reckless, but there was no challenges going in tonight that I saw and no real interest. It could just be a minor blip, but if/when he goes to Chelsea in Jan I an gonna come back and say I told you so It's his second game back from injury, he might not be fully fit. As for the latter part of your statement, it'll be a proud day from you, I'm sure. Not really, I've just come to accept that every transfer window one of our top performers will leave. Its a sad indictment of where we are.... Any evidence of this either? I already know the answer like. Well I think the evidence of that is in the likes of Carroll and Enrique - players sold to the highest bidder and with the money never reinvested. I should say here that I think the Carroll deal was a fantastic bit of business and Ba has proven to be more than acceptable a replacement. That doesn't take away from the fact that we are a selling club and every player has his price (as alluded to by none other than the manager)

  11. Someone is going to leave in Jan, I see negative Tiote as being far preferable to Collocini, Krul or Ba (although it's not beyond the realms of possibilities that one or more of those might go as well). The £25m WILL be invested in new players, we'll get 2 "free" transfers and give them 4 year contracts at 40k a week and then when you take into account agents fees, that's all the money gone. Free transfers are this years expensive transfers...at least at Newcastle anyway. CoLoccini tbh. I don't think Collocini will leave simply because we will be utterly up shit creek if he does and surely even Ashley can see that.

  13. Obertan was getting mild boo's around me when the team was announced before the game. That's just stupid. I have people sat round me who greet every misplaced pass with "For fucks sake man <name> you useless fucker", which is not helpful. I tend to keep my opinions to myself and then post them on message boards after a few beers
  14. He was really compared to what we know he can produce. Some of his passing was fucking awful and I know others were shit as well but thats not the performance we've come to expect from a committed Tiote.

I don't want to lose a focussed Tiote, but this new, not improved version? Not really that arsed. he hasn't hit the form of last season. i'd put it down to taking it's time forming a partnership with cabaye, now i'm not so sure. Nah, there is more to it than that I reckon. I'll be sad to see him go, but as I've said previously - someone is going to leave and he'd be the one who we'd have least problem filling the gap (in that we have more players in midfield than other areas - not necessarily as good). With him and Obertan on the pitch today we were playing with 9 men effectively at times.
  17. Couldn't describe it better, although the grief the crowd give him is beyond the joke. Yeah, I didn't like the derision when he went off - regardless of how good he is, he still plays for us and deserves some support.
  18. I'm not sure what Pardew sees in him. He can't cross, dribble, shoot or do any of the other things you associate with footballers. He has pace, admittedly...then again so David Bellion for the Mackems and he was utter shit as well.

  21. If he was attacked first then he had every right to defend himself. Ref was completely in the wrong there.
  22. If he is leaving in Jan then fuck him, leave him out the team. He was a fucking liability all night tonight.
  23. Definitely one for the future. So unlucky not to get at least one goal.
  24. Well....that was a bit disappointing to say the least. In a nutshell. - Tiote, utter shit - playing like a player who is going elsewhere in Jan. - Collocinini - as above but far more worrying - Ba - playing like a striker on form and sure to attract admiring glances - Vukic - one to sell in the future - Ameobi - did he touch the ball? I don't think we deserved to lose really, but defensively we were shocking. Not sure if the Saton sub was a tactical thing, but it didn't work.
