  1. Still advertised in the bogs. Never seen anyone use it though.
  2. I have, i sent mine on Sunday. Sent mine late Sunday night and got confirmation on Monday that it was cancelled.
  3. We were on the 10 year deal, so I believe we are paid up until the end of this season then it ends. I felt quite sad for a while, but then realised I'd have an extra £550 a year plus incidentals to spend on stuff that doesn't make me angry.
  4. Me and 3 mates cancelled yesterday, so another 4.
  5. 4 of us just cancelled tonight. Got an automated reply so will see what they say. Yesterday was the final straw.
  6. Thought Pardew got it spot on today - not sure about bringing Sammy on right at the end, but it didn't cost us.
  7. Sorry if discussed already but only just got back. What the fuck did the Liverpool fans set off in the second half - it sounded like a bomb had gone off and I wouldn't have fancied being anywhere near it. In terms of the game a draw was probably fair all things considered. Definite (but very soft) pen and probably a sending off. Gerrard should have gone 2nd half, but the ref bottled it. The linesman running along the east stand from Sir John Hall to halfway line was awful - missing handballs and offsides all over the place. Thought Tiote had his best game for many many games and Dummett looked class when he came on.
  8. Chapel House always had a good team but you were crap at Cricket. Can you remember Pete Kirby 1974-81 chapel house weren't very good 78 tom 80, chapel park on the other hand were our main competition and they started to really pull away from us in the final year of middle school. well we only had about 35 lads to pick from. When I was there Claremont and Throckley middle schools rivalled us for crap teams whereas the Gosforth schools (was there 3 of them back in 85?) always absolutely trounced us.
  9. Chapel House always had a good team but you were crap at Cricket. Can you remember Pete Kirby 1974-81 Not when I was there we didn't.... Could have been cos I was in it! I think I would have have left in 86 or 87 cos I left wallbottle in 91. Seems so long ago now. Mr Nolan was team manager and I don't even remember us having a cricket team
  10. Claremont were the only team my middle school (chapel House) ever beat on a regular basis
  11. He didn't quite make it, but I played in the same team as a lad called Mark Angel, who got as far as Sunderland reserves but never broke into the first team and then ended up leaving and going down eventually into non-league. He was, by a long way the best player in our team.
  12. Mines arrived today. Not sure if I am pleased or disappointed.
  13. At blame for the first goal definitely and partly to blame for the third. It always amazes me how he never gets subbed no matter how badly he plays.
  14. Blokes behind me are always late but today they didn't arrive until half an hour into the first half. What's the point?
  15. Ba. I could be wrong, but the only quotes I remember from Pardew about Ba were along the lines of him hoping he stays and urging the fans to persuade him to stay. Everyone knew about the release clause thanks to Harry-fucking-Redknapp so it was only a matter of time before someone invoked it.
  16. I like how you try and make a case for Pardew and use touting our players as a reason other managers might not come, he was the one touting them. Who has Pardew touted?
  17. For all those who want shot of Pardew - who exactly is going to replace him? I can't see managers queuing up to work under a regime where you can build a decent squad and then watch as transfer window after transfer window your best players are touted out to all and sundry? I don't think Pardew is a great manager, but this season is mostly down to the fact we didn't strengthen in the summer despite knowing we had a weak squad and despite knowing we were in Europe. We got Debuchy for a million less or whatever in Jan, but thats not gonna help if we go down.
  18. Not a great game, not a great performance but a good - and unexpected result. I really did think West Brom were gonna snatch it at the end. Positives were HBA and......perhaps Colo. That was about it really.
  19. Unfortunately back to being shit again after a good performance in the euro's
  20. Man of the match for me today (albeit with very little other options). Couple of times I thought he was going to wriggle through, only to be denied by a last gasp tackle. If he can keep this up then the mackems will shit themselves in a couple of weeks.
  21. Thought he was very poor today. Shadow of his normal self.
  22. Dunno about the gallowgate, but there was one in the Leazes end who got hoyed out for celebrating their third. One of our fans gobbed on him as we was leaving, which didn't go down well!
  23. He was in full control of the situation it was all the fans having a complete hissy fit and panicing that annoyed me more. There's a time to do the fancy stuff and a time to just hoof the ball clear.
  24. Aye f*** sensible plans. Has to be a happy medium though - QPR are pissing money on "good" players but when they inevitably go down this season or next they are gonna be left with massive debts and players no one will pay for.
  25. I sometimes wonder just how far the club would go if the right offer came in. For example, if tomorrow Arsenal bid £20m for Tiote and Man U bid £25m for Cabaye then would we let them both go despite the fact it would doom us to mid table or lower? I reckon the answer is yes unfortunately
