Pre stoke = sternest test yet for newcastle yet against unbeaten stoke (totally correct) Post stoke = newcastle havnt really been.tested yet, wait until their hard run against mancs and chelsea? Is that our barometer for success like? There is no easy games in this league and stoke away is one of the most frustrating youll get so im at a loss.

he really cant argue if he is assigned bench duty at stoke after last night. the team is playing well in the league and this was a chance for those who havnt had a look in to show pardew why they should be starting, Yet it sounds like non of the lads covered themselves in glory (guthrie probably at a push which pains me to say ha)

Sorry but I give a crap about the league cup and any other domestic trophy, you must still be celebrating our last one in 1950 odd to care obviously, but your entitled to your opinion so that's fair enough. And forest away in A non descript cup as you say with a 10,000 crowd is still distinctly better than a reserve game in which there may be 100 or so people, quality-wise the lot.

The Forest game practically was a reserve match though. Early stage of the poorest domestic competition, against lower level opposition, with reserve level players playing alongside him. If HBA thought himself above lower standard games, why not refuse to play then and come up with excuses? Unless of course, you think there's much of a difference between the standard of a cup game against lower level opposition, compared to a regular reserve match? There really isn't. Well there is a trophy to be won, in a good stadium, with a healthy away contingent, against a side which would probably beat our reserve lineup (no offence to the lads), I think there is a bit of a difference

Aye , but we can just sell the blocks their club didn't want if there is enough demand. But there isn't, that's the point. There will be if they carry on that offer of reduced tickets for an hour on the day, they might aswell shift tickets for whatever they can get because any amount is better than having empty seats in the stadium.

You've also got to understand some of the sacrifices people may have made to come see the toon, myself included. I'm just biting my lip and hoping people buy in and hopefully it'll better my experience so to soften the blow, if you get me.

Id imagine not all the players are on the same wave length as Ben arfa and can't anticipate certain things he's doing, he should really just tone it down for the time being and play a simple game and he will be instantly effective. Like many have said his ability to pull players out of position is fantastic(he normally has three or four players fumbling over themselves) and this in turn allowed others more time on the ball. It's early days for hatem but no one here can deny he's a fantastic individual, he just needs to remember it's a team game!

My only annoyance yesterday was the teams unwillingness to pop a shot away, Ben arfa finding himself In perfect position to get one away but opting to dribble a bit more. Other than that I was fairly pleased with the match, resilience in the team is quite evident and if you can win games when not putting in silky performances your onto a winner.

tbh.if it continues to go well on the pitch then why should we care, i want my club to do well in my lifetime!. This sports direct stuff as fugly as it is, is very much short term and will be gone soon enough. newcastle united will be there long after mike ashley has gone and if things continue as they are we may even get a cup somewhere down the line, More than likely go tits up being nufc Short-term? Why is it? Mike ashley immortal? People do move on you know, there is plenty of things that have happened in the past that many older fans would have been seething about but us younger supporters take it as the norm. Bitching and moaning has got us nowhere in the past and has probably been more of a hinderance. That doesn't mean oh lets just let Ashley rape our club but its just advertisement at the end of the day and on the pitch is where it matters.
