Brilliant ?? What time did you manage to snare it?
-
When you are happy with the numbers just let me know and I’ll book a table for everyone for say 19:45 to allow transit time from pub to restaurant after the late game.
-
Not arguing that point as I agree that’s exactly why the club haven’t stopped selling them. Was more in response to you thinking it makes no sense at all. Touting increases as no comeback if caught because you could just buy another membership under slightly different details and you can tout again. Opposition fans buying them nearer their games to take a chance of getting in the game by hook or by crook and giving members a higher percentage of success are the three reasons why I don’t think they should’ve capped the amount but they should’ve said we are stopping selling them the Friday night before Villa at home so buy now for 23/24. Imagine if we get Sunderland (or Boro) in the cup never mind someone like Leeds etc. Like you say the club will want to pick up fans as the season progresses but apart from a little extra money I fear the negatives out way the positives.

You probably are already aware but the TV games for the pub Saturday are: Liverpool v Everton 12:30 Chelsea v Arsenal 17:30 So evening meal 19:30 probably makes sense.

So 28 names listed in OP but only 20 Likes/Confirmations for who’s playing. Just a reminder to like OP if you can play ??

Not think it’s the cause of the tickets now appearing on resale sites?
-
Not a massive one but you’ll be surprised how important timing is when releasing some news for traction etc as there will be ad revenue etc. Every penny counts. Just a theory. By all accounts the media was all done by Saturday morning. Whats your thinking why they’ve delayed it?
-
I can but it’s always ignored ? Officially there used to be signs saying no blades and studs. The type of game it is we should just all wear simple astroturf trainers. However moulds have been worn before and the pitch is the latest technology so I’m guessing they are relaxed on them as years of went by. So all I’ll say is contact friendly footwear ??

I must be getting cynical. There whole alibi was they weren’t planning on letting the pyrotechnics off in the stadium ? Which of course they wouldn’t as they didn’t travel on a coach all the way to Manchester to watch in the ground but to watch in a pub with their strips on despite Manchester pubs in my experience wouldn’t entertain on a match evening. Feel for them and clearly the type of fans I like to see at aways but not sure the club will think the same.

The problem the lads will have as much as I have sympathy for them over this incident is you can’t have Man City away tickets without a ST each which they confirmed on that first video so they are exactly the people they are targeting with the new system and if not them the suppliers. Where did they get their two tickets from? ?
-
They ain’t going to announce it the day of the Greenwood news. They’ll want to maximise any publicity. Will probably get announced tomorrow or Wednesday morning you’d think.
-
My math was 19 games x 14k seats divided by 64k members = 4.15 games. If we assume 50% are part timers then you could get half a season. Bit better ??♂️

Was just asking for a number in reference to expectations. What number were you expecting or your maths telling you? Just wondering if I’m way off with my prediction. Also I’m guessing in society over the last 30 years the number of single parents has risen so depending on when the game falls on (a access day) the ability as a ST holder back in the day to buy extra tickets if available for a seat nearby would be quite valuable as no point buying a full ST. Now all those people are in a bit of a pickle I’d imagine.
-
Exactly. Most my friends with STs have because of the system had to buy memberships for +1/2/3’s as no longer included and only way to attend a match with them (even though not sat together). That’s why I wasn’t totally discounting the extremely high figure going about on Twitter. It was only as the last season progressed a ST holder or membership holder went from being allowed 4 tickets per game all the way down to 1 and now for STs none. So (assuming he said 57k) then extra 10% gives you 64k members. Weirdly as much as we all love SJP you’d think also a new stadium would even increase the demand/interest as something new to experience. What you’ve got to factor in these days is a lot more families and kids go to the match. Thinking back to 90’s all the way through to before the MA protests there was never that many kids going to games and the interest amongst women attending has exploded too.
-
Well I did say as much that the higher figure was unconfirmed but regardless if we are at 60k which I think is a conservative estimate if we’d nearly sold that amount day/week one and they are still open to buy and I know plenty still buying them. 60k into 14k (at most!) gives you 4 1/2 games. I’m basing my guesstimates on not everyone applying but the membership north of 60k and availability south of 14k. Whats your expectations? @AyeDubbleYoostill wondering what yours are?

Well… according to my cousin (living in USA) he made enquiries about the international membership and according to him you only get notified of your success 1 week before the KO. As you’d imagine that wouldn’t be much use to anyone planning a trip hoping to get sensibly priced flights etc. So the whole summer spent courting USA market to him seems like a bit of waste of everyone’s time as it stands.
-
In my defence I’m basing that on a lot of non confirmed figures but feel they are fairly conservative ones. Also not everyone will attempt every game. How many were you anticipating?

Club haven’t officially said anything other than Silverstone on the TF podcast which iirc was 57k sales day one. Then a fairly notorious NUFC Twitter account claimed they knew someone in the box office and as of that time (week or two ago) the figure was 150+K iirc. So basing 52k minus approx 35k STs and corporate (so to keep maths easier 33k ST 2K corporate though probably more) and 3K away fans on average (Full allocation usually 3.2K). Then you have a possible 150k chasing 14k tickets. Even if the figure is bollocks then it’s at least 60k members. However the more people I talk to who I wouldn’t associate massively with going to the games have all bought memberships. So if I alone know of about 20 people like that then maybe 150k isn’t that outlandish a figure.
-
I’m guessing you are frustrated by missing out again? Probably not what you want to hear right now but you need to be realistic regards your success rate. Missing out on I’m guessing first two games is hardly grounds for claiming your membership was a waste of money. Hopefully you’ll get to around 4 out of 19.
-
The box office seemed to suggest this was the case (and would be wise as you can’t have some people getting no value for their £37 compared to others) but how they would do that I’m guessing with an algorithm. Not that being told anything by the box office face to face feels like anything official ? Definitely something that will become clearer as the season progresses.
-
That’s correct. By all means do so but very much doubt they can help you without changing the whole system ?
-
You can’t buy a membership if you have a ST. I asked at box office in person weeks ago and they said no because essentially no point as can’t enter the ballot as me as tickets in ballot not transferable. Your best bet is to get your dad a membership. Skip the auto selected seats ballot and try your luck each game at phase two in the queuing system and hope to find a seat near you. ?
