I’d fear for match prices if we built anything less than 70k. Ultimately the opportunity to expand whatever they build down the line without great expense is vital.

Next head meeting in December so hoping to find out something then. I’d be surprised if it isn’t true but as of end of May hadn’t head anything. I’ll maintain though the last people standing in the way of a new stadium/expansion would be the Freeman.

We need to catch both those teams not remain behind them. By the time ours is likely to be built Man Utd will be at 100k. We are at 53k Conservative figures: 33K ST 4K Corporate 3K Away 13K General 75-90K Members Football growth is getting bigger and bigger. As is live music and other sporting events. 70k would leave people locked out from day one. We can always extend away allocation as a couple of K and clubs would sell them. I know I’m a broken record but this is a multi generational decision. We haven’t even shown any potential financial might yet. What’s the harm of a handful of empty seats in the upper tiers as the club grows to fill the stadium. The acoustics alone will be x100 better even not full. Just build it right first time. The surrounding area will be changing over the decades including the airport and other transport links.

Two examples I can give you why they would say that. Sheff Utd away before any of the eight goals the home fans didn’t even murmur in any sort of reaction and as the game got worse just quiet acceptance. Same against Forest in the Cup this season. Complete lack of standing up and berating the officials or players. Just sat quietly for the most part. At least with games like last night there are still audible ooo’s and rrrr’s from time to time and shouts from the crowd for corners won etc.

Yep. As a fan base we were far too quiet with regards digital tickets. Like you say a wet dream for touts from all round the world.
