Way of the world and why it was always a bit harsh to criticise some of the fees Man Utd used to pay back in the day. If clubs don’t want to sell their prize asset and fan favourite but the player makes it clear he’s happy to go like in this case they’ll always demand above going rate. Agree 100%. Never wanted a midfield made of 3 individual parts as such but 3 midfielders that can do a bit of everything and interchange. I wanted a more technical and mobile Longstaff. Younger than Kovacic. Seems the ideal fit.

Obviously all just reported figures but we pulled out at £40-45m last summer. Spurs being interested means Leicester will be hopeful of getting close to their asking price to cover the 15% sell on clause but if either of us drop out then the price could drop as low as £25-30m easily. As cheeky as it was Levy knows what he’s doing with the dual bid approach.
