I kniw some people think you are mental for sugesting 'fake bids', but there is a strange pattern forming. Either we are the most incompetent club around, or we aren't putting our all into these final hour 'bids'.
  2. Aye, the kids craic is fucking shit. You simply cannot win a debate/argument with anyone who possesses such woeful banter.
  3. JOEY BARTON THREATENS TO TAKE MONEY FROM AND BREAK THE HAND OF TWITTER TEENAGER.
  4. Haha wounded Makes me laugh when I read gimps like that posting shit on twitter.
  5. Good statement, I feel rejuvenated after reading it tbh. Onward and upwards.
  6. Okay mate. How about we don't pay all footballers on Christmas too then, and Easter for that matter? How about no-one gets paid when they're not working... He has every right to take part in his religious festival, despite the fact me thinking religion is bollocks. Nah, agree with it or not England is a Christian country, so we abide by Christian holidays (which for most people they are just traditional holidays, nothing religious). It's not like Demba Ba has to come into training on Christmas day does he? No, he gets the Christian holidays off aswel. If a religious festival is actualy having an effect on the guys job though then his employers should have every right to tell him to pack it in. If it's worth upsetting the player over in this case is another matter, like. If it's that much of a bother, the employers shouldn't hire him in the first place. They have that option available to them. I don't see what right an employer has to tell people what to do regarding their religion. You have a point about the employer not hiring in the first place like, although in the modern day you'd probably get sued for not taking someone on due to there religious practices. If the persons religios beliefs are effecting his work though ofcourse an employer should be able to 'tell him what to do'.

I said I never realy knew how good he's kicking was, or how well he sorts out his wall. I don't exactly sit and study every aspect of every goalkeeper in the league and make notes of there every strengh and weakness, or the colour changes in there piss or anything like. I also said it was my opinion, never stated it as fact or anything, absolutely nobody on the planet could make such a statement as absolute fact

I would never claim he's never been over-rated slightly, like you say, many aspects of goalkeeping are completely looked over if that keeper can stop a shot, but along with positioning and decision making it's probably the most important. I don't realy know how good Szczesny's kicking is, or how well he can sort out his wall, but Given would save Arsenal more goals than Chez in the coming seasons imo, the rest of there game is debateable. That been said I wouldn't exactly say Arsenal should replace him like, just disagree with Gash's comment on them been of similar calibre.
  9. Would have took him about a decade ago like
  10. We'll be in October and we'll be fieldling Ameobi and Lovenkrands
  11. Punditry in itself will allways be shite like, if you want to get a proper gist of a player or a match (aside from seeing with your own eyes) then you are much better off seeking out the views of actual fans of the sides involved. Like this message board, or a reliable blog etc. Taking your footballing knowlege from the MOTD cast is a sure fire way look thick as fuck. Scott Parker is the best midfielder in the league, John Silver plays on the wing for Manchester City etc.

Come on man, Given would be a massive improvement on Chesney, they aren't on a similar level at all.
  13. The notion that British players somehow automaticaly bring some sort of much needed graft and steel to a side is pretty cringeworthy like.

  15. Ba is actualy supposed to be pretty quick when fit. He looked like a fucking snail against Fukham like.
  16. He's a pretty massive improvement on Ameobi like, in every way. At the very least with Leon best we have a player who can make the ball stick upfront and is liable to grab the odd goal, at the very best (and what he's shown so far) we have a better than 1 in 2 striker. EDIT: I mean 1 in 2 obviosly.
  17. Would much rather take the technique and flair of a South American than the apparent grit and determination of an Englishman like Fucking hell man.
  18. :sadnod:There are 3 types of posters on this section of the board like imo (although I think oretty much everyone wants Ashley gone providing we get a better replacement), those dead set against the 'regime' and will highlight everything bad and ignore the good for the most part, those who will swing backwards and forwards along with each individual event or 'catalyst' (the majority), and those who seem to put a positive spin on everything. I wouldn't say the latter was 'pro-Ashley', or an 'Ashley apologist' they just don't seem to want to view the decisions as damaging to the club. Nobody can realy claim to be wrong or right, but the few in the first and third categories are always liable to be in the thick of the argument, or feel like people are "getting at them" due to there 'one sided' view point. Whether right or wrong. As an example i've went from "give him a chance/see if he spends the money" to "he's a cunt, someone kill him" over the past 6 months or so. Others have been in the "kill the cunt" camp for years, and others are currently (and always have been) in the "he's running the club in a sensible maner/he's having to be astute because of the previous owners/the players left because they were (greedy/shit/bad for morale) etc" Some of that will be sensationalist like, and I'll not name names but I think it's pretty obvios for the most part.
  19. We only had 7-8 months to find one to be fair. And when you look at it that way it's completely acceptable that we're still starting Peter Lovenkrands in the Premiership like.
  20. Aye, pretty much my feelings to be honest, only put across better.
  21. How is it not as bad as people are making out? Nobody is saying we're doomed to relegation or anything, just that we've somehow managed to come into the season with a squad that will probably finish mid table or lower, when with a bit of investment (that we actualy could have easily done) we could be challenging for Europe. It's horrible to see the players we could have gotten, even so much as the players themselves pushingg for a move in some cases, but never due to either ineptitude, our our reluctance to actualy spend any money (we proper class at selling players like, Mike fucking loves that).
  22. If you were Joey Barton, would you sooner finish around 8th to 10th with us, or finish probably 16th at best just because they've spent a few bob. Obviosly 8-10th with us (it's hardly a certainty like). I'm not saying QPR are as good as us, or have more potential than us, but there owner is atleast not trying he's hardest assett strip there club. isn't he(tony fernandes) doing exactly what ashley did when he first came in ? When Ashley first came in he seemed alright tbf, and Fernandes has improved QPR. I'm guessing i'm missing something here? fernandes has came in and in the first few months done exactly as ashley did ? do you think he'll keep on doing it ? If he recieves £35m for a player I think he'll put more than a couple million of it back into the team, yes.
