  1. Would be amazing if he actualy started at left back on Saturday
  2. I don't think it's a meltdown tbh, my first reaction was to laugh my tits off. If he's 3rd choice then fine, although it amuses me that this is yet another example of signing a player at loggerheads with their club in order to get them on the cheap. If he's 2nd choice then IMO it's a big concern, probably a big downgrade and definitely another big risk. If he's better than Harper (and he's obviosly younger) then I don't realy see the problem. I am sick of our apparent unwillingness to wrap up any 'full price' deals like.
  3. Forster is on loan btw, which everybody seemed pleased about an hour or so ago.
  4. I'm judging by the meltdown on here that we've signed this bloke on an 80k a week contract and plan on playing him up front this season?
  5. perhaps because nufc should be concentrating on bringing in a striker and left back before one of the biggest games of the season ? just a random guess like Pretty sure that they aren't fatigued after this signing like, I don't think thats how it works anyway? "I just.. I... I just couldn't sign another one Derek. I'm exhausted." says a gloss eyed Mike with a bottle of scotch at hand.
  6. I wouldn't care if it wasn't for that awful smile. It's not just the mouth, it's the eyes aswel. It's a full faced annoying smile. Cunt.
  7. I would start Shola against the Mackems (and i'm not taking the piss). He'll score on Saturday, simple as that.
  8. The very definition of sticking your neck on the line there like.
  9. Why loan him back to Celtic after what Pardew has said about the quality of the league?
  10. I'll deffinatly have some of that like
  11. It's Europe man, Asprilla would have had a hatrick in this game! I wonder what the odds are on Udinese turning Arsenal over in the next leg anyway, I cannot see them failing to score at home... Multiple times.
  12. Gervinho actualy does something, man alive.

    Gervinho

If someone gets pushed over before a corner, Niel, then has the offender used "excessive force" or not? I'm not comparing it to what Barton did in any way, just pointing out why that rule should not be taken as gospel.

    Gervinho

Flexibility in terms of what is excessive force, sure, that is the referee's job to determine what is excessive force. Barton used excessive force when not challenging for the ball. He is guilty of violent conduct. He should have been sent off. If Barton pushed him he'd be using 'excessive force' man Force should technicaly be never used AT ALL in an off the ball incident, but going word for word by those rules we'd see players sent off for jostling in the box before a corner.

Looking to football for fair and equal punishment across offences is a waste of time. Spot on

    Gervinho

Gervinho could probably be charged with assault if he did the former. In football though raising your hands is a red and a 3 game ban, the same as even breaking a players leg with a rash tackle.

How many players have been sent off in recent years for 'violent conduct' withought actualy hitting a player? I suppose Diaby, but then he was sent off for the push in Nolans back & throwing Barton to the ground by his neck, and ultimately just going on like a radgee. Dowd even signaled at the time that it was for 2 incidents. The fact is if Gervinho had pushed Barton, or swung him about back instead of slapping him, both players would have recieved yellow cards and there would have been no complaints.

Song deserved to go and he deserves the 3 match ban. Like it or not, it's been made fairly clear over the years that if you strike a player, or raise your hands to a players face (in an agressive manner), then it's a straight red. Theres no grey area. Barton dragged him up by his shirt and gave him a bit of jip, again, like it or not, it's pretty much an unwritten rule that pushing players, pulling there shirt, and other 'melees' that don't involve a player actualy been struck is a yellow card.
  19. There's been bundles of players far worse than Tiote who have not only played in a Champions League final, but have won it.
  20. I know it's already been covered like, but what a fucking idiotic thing to say Stop writing like a 14yr old lass too.
