James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Leiceter want £60m. We offer £35m. Rejected. Word comes out they will accept £50m up front. We offer £40m. Rejected. Player puts in a transfer request. We offer £45-50m structured deal. Accepted. Maybe that's it, maybe it's not, nee cunt knows -

It probably doesn't matter what the initial bid was, the point of an opening bid is to let someone know you're wanting to enter negotiations. Your initial bid should pretty much never be accepted. -

Can you not hire decent WUMs on the internet? Pay OkieDoke to come back or something. -

Even if we are willing to pay £50m we're not going to go out and brief the journalists about it. -

I don't expect it no, we're a bit of a wildcard so it's hard to say how we'll do, it could go either way. -

Well no because, as I've said, since Christmas every indicator is that Howe is getting more out of our squad than Rodgers is out of theres. For some reason you keep mentioning there superior squad as if it's the only thing that matters. -

100% £50m is a massive fee. If Leicester want silly money (which some teams have paid them in the past) then that's on them, but it doesn't mean we need to follow. -

This means nowt though as Leicester are regressing. Maybe they can turn it around, maybe they can't? Just as much of a chance that we continue as we are or falter. It would hardly be some huge suprise if we finish above Leiceter like. Despite their obviously superior squad. -

They have a much better squad but they seem to have already hit their ceiling with it. I'm not saying Howe is a better manager than Rodgers, but it's pretty clear he has our squad heading in the right direction. I don't think there's much to indicate the same is happening at Leicester. -

What are we basing Leicester qualifying for Europe over us on? We've been a better side than them since Christmas. We're improving, they haven't signed anyone. I get Leicester and West Ham are good clubs with really good managers, but some people put them on a ridiculous pedestal on here. -

Neither us or Leicester are challenging for the top 4 like. -

What are are Leicester short term? They aren't in Europe and every indication is they need a rebuild or they're going backwards. -

We're literally trying to sign Leicester's best player, but there's no short term footballing reason to come here over them... We finished 3 points behind and they haven't signed anyone. No short term footballing reason to come here... -

Could be absolutely anything. There's a fair few reasons he would choose us over Leicester though. Trippier leaving the La Liga champions to come here when were were odds on to go down remains absolutely baffling. -

Any romanticised view you have of another club washes away when you spend two minutes on one of their forums like. I doubt this transfer is a given, but the fact it hasn't already been rejected is promising. You would hope it signals a desire to negotiate. If Spurs etc don't come in the chances are he'll want to come here. -

Was he cutting inside a lot earlier than usual against Bilbao? I was meant to post this days ago but it completely left my mind. -
Saw this player/coach role for the yoots mentioned before, about Dummett I think. Is this a common thing?

Legitimately thought this was a joke

Aye he's what we're missing like. I really like Willock, he's a clever player and I hope he can grow into whatever role Howe chooses for him (B2B seems to be it) but he's never going to control the attacking side of your game in the same way Maddison can. Other than Ekitike he's the major link we've had that really excites me.
