Yeah, our style of play was about disrupting the opposition. We were rarely overrun when paying sides outside the top 4 even with low possession stats so it wasn't even an issue. I suspect our style won't really change much either, but with Wilson back and hopefully a top winger and/or box to box attacking mid we'll be able to control games better higher up the pitch.

I said his delivery was, and I quote, "decent". You contested that. His 5 goal involvements all came under Howe when he clearly picked up form again, but I don't think you need stats with him anyway, his delivery passes the eye test.
-
Aye we're desperate for another winger. As a squad player though he's useful at worst, and potentially really really good.
-
We don't know the full story though, the whole thing about him requesting ludicrous agent fees could be exaggerated. Same with him apparently using us to sound out PSG, it's possibly all just people putting 2 and 2 together, people (me included) just never believed the PSG interest was legitimate.

When he got going under Howe he scored 2 and assisted 2 in 5 games. Scored 7 and got 14 assists for Bournemouth in 18/19 (again under Howe). He's comfortable with both feet and quite clearly has a good cross on him like.

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

The same 4-3-3 from last season. -
I'll be honest, I thought him and his agent were completely deluded a couple of weeks ago, but it's pretty clear now that they've done nothing other than what is obviously best for the both of them
-
Fraser's main attribute beyond his decent end product is the fact he runs himself into the ground like which isn't going to translate well to a friendly against a 3rd tier German side. Willock is 22 and has a lot of potential. Lascelles is fine for a 4th choice CB. Same can be said for Wood when he hopefully becomes 3rd choice.

Trying to Nelinho one in from 12 yards.

Aye but it's not a fullsize pitch so it's probably a bit awkward. The 2-3 balls over the top to ASM would probably have worked at SJP -

I'm assuming Shelvey is so far back because the pitch is the size of a matchbox. -
Willock > Lingard anyway.

Would honestly ejaculate my kidneys if we signed Paqueta.
-
In all seriousness, Paqueta, Sarr, and a loan striker would be great business.
-
I would happily just sign Paqueta and then the wondow close tbh. Him and Ekitike were the two who I really wanted. He ticks so many boxes.
-
The pair of them give me school shooter vibes tbh.
-
Completely missing the point. We need a winger who can add goals to the side. It's quite clearly more important than bringing in another striker (which we obviously also need to do).
-
Playing Wood up top wouldn't be as bad if we had a wide player capable of bagging 10 goals a season.
-
I cannot see anything other than Haaland being an absolutely unplayable machine for them like They're so well drilled, hard working, and great on (and off) the ball that they can stick anyone up top.
-
There's been some really, really good signings for a few teams we want to be competing with like. On paper atleast. I trust Howe to get more out of us but our squad needs atleast another 2 big signings.
