  1. Not a chance Howe would leave one of the most exciting gigs in football for an international job like.
  2. But no manager of Howe's ability and suitability are going to be interested in the England job. Like I said maybe Potter if he's still milling about around 10th with Brighton a year from now?
  3. Howe wouldn't give up the Newcastle job for England at this stage though, I think Potter should be at a club like Arsenal but if someone like them aren't available for him I would imagine it wold be pretty tempting. We would have to have a poor WC to consider it though.
  4. That's actually really exciting like.
  5. Really good read that. Lad who wrote it looks about 12 too so fair play to him.
  6. I'd probably just prefer to sell him to a Championship club and bring in someone else as 3rd choice. Either another young talent or a loan or something. Wood is a nice lad but he's completely worthless beyond being 6ft 3.
  7. Southgate can be frustrating as fuck on a matchday but he (and obviously the other staff) have pulled together the most harmonious England squad we've probably ever had There's a massive risk that we sack him and the whole thing falls apart. Unless it was like Graham Potter I cannot think of any definite imrovements who could carry on what Southgate has done?
  8. Tbh I didn't realise Osimhen was that young, I thought he was around 27. I would still be surprised by a £60m+ signing like (maybe a CM I could just about see).
  9. Aye it seems the quickest way to fucking uo you FFP quota like. Osimhen does look pretty sexy though
  10. Going off reports (as well as looking at the squad), after Ekitike we'll be after: GK CB LB (possibly x2) CM Possibly a winger Probably all between £15-40m. You would imagine anything else will be kids or free transfers. Players like Osimhen - quality but expensive and we already have quality in their position - seem like they will be next year?
  11. I agree, it's deffinitely not an easy task, I just don't think a club like Milan are in the same stratosphere as Man City/Madrid/PSG in 2022. Surpassing teams like them seems next to impossible like, even with all the money in the world.
  12. Finished dead last behind Porto in the group stages this year and last 16 of Europa the year before though. They're nowhere near winning the Champions League outside of a freak year. Neither are we obviously but the point is we've been bought out by the ritchest people in football with the primary aim of dominating football. I think by the end of next summer the screw would have been completely turned and people's attitudes will be completely different like.
  13. Being pointlessly modest doesn't give football hope Again, what you're saying makes no real sense in regards to the conversation. My completely understandable belief that we are likely to grow beyond Milan (as a competitive team, not as a historic club) in the coming years is not what is going to destroy modern football.
  14. So where exactly in that quote have I said anything about being offended by him turning us down? I think it would be daft for him as a player as his career progression here will likely have a much greater ceiling than at Milan. That is by no means guarenteed, but Milan will have a much, much harder job growing outside of domestic competitions. I've already explained this multiple times, yet you keep bringing up money for some reason. Aye it was slightly hyperbolic and I agree with Sewelly and Prophet to a degree.
  15. Flip, honestly you've spoke nowt but shite in this thread like. Literally nothing you are saying is relevant to anything I've said, are you still pissed or something I've never displayed any indication I'm 'offended'. I said I think it would be the wrong choice for reasons I've explained. I completely get that he could go to the Serie A and win the league, while getting regular Champions League football right off the bat. It's just that AC Milan are a long way behing the top sides in Europe and don't have resourses we now have to join them. Project.
  16. It's the literal deffinition of what it is though I get NO it's beyond the 'hip' shite like but there's no other word in the dictionary which better describes what we are.
  17. I think challenging in Europe is more likely than winning the league like. Unless they falter, Man City and Liverpool are robots, it would take an insane effort to surpass them week in week out. Teams like AC Milan, despite their history, are nowhere near that level though and are essentially propped up by playing in a poorer league. Like I say, I completely get the reasons AC Milan would appeal to any footballer on the planet but I think they're amongst the group of clubs below the elite level which we could pass fairly quickly if we don't fuck this whole thing up.
  18. What are you onabout man We are a project, the biggest and most 'exciting' one in football, the fact I or anyone else might have previously derided Man City or Chelsea for buying the league is completely irrelevant, especially considering I've stated multiple times I completely agree with the distain some other fans have towards us. I can think the whole thing is completely shite and unfair while also understanding that (if things go to plan, which they have in the past fir other clubs) our project will likely lead to us joining the dominant clubs of football. I don't understand where you are seeing any jarring juxtaposition here?
  19. Aye I get that like, similar to what @The Prophetwas getting at too.
  20. Do you think players in similar circumstances would regret not joining Man City along with Kompany and co? And I completely disagree with the 2nd part, It will take probably a decade to properly implament the infrastructure of an elite club but we have the capability to buy our way to a top 4 spot. It doesn't have to be gradual, it would be a push next year but we can take huge strides with each window.
  21. In anycase we'll come back to this conversation at the end of next summer to see how even more obvious a decision it should have been. Botmanscock (so this post can easily be searched).
  22. Flio I'm not even sure why you're bringing money into it. I, along with most others on this forum I would imagine, absolutely hate the state of modern football. Fans of other clubs will rightfully hate us and want us to fail, I would be the same. It's completely shite. It's not about being offended over Botman not choosing money? Like I've never said anything even close to that? My point is that for a 22 year old prospect like him we're a much better choice if his wish is to join the elite clubs of football. And I think he would regret joining Milan within a few year. If things go to plan (like they did with Chelsea and Man City) whoever comes in now have been gifted the most straight forward route they could wish for to a dominant club.
  23. Which is obviously fair enough but both of those things become irrelevant, as Man City show us.
  24. Are you being intentionally blind to the reality of our takeover or something? FWIW I think it's absolutely disgusting that this is the reality of things, given a year ago we were rightfully one of the laughing stocks of world football, but I cannot see the point of being modest and I thought the same in January. We are the most likely club in world football who any reasonable person would forcast to join the elite within the next few years, not AC Milan.
  25. They have a great squad, they're just nowhere near the level of the insane, robotic machines like Man City or Liverpool. We just have easier route to that level due to our ability to throw money at our problems.
