He speaks about every team as if he was in the same room as their supporters and it's just much better to listen too than the usual hot takes and baiting. Helps he clearly knows his stuff too.

It was my cousins pub, although I may be remembering it wrong and mixing it up with a Newcastle match as I would have been like 11/12. I can remember watching WC games in school too like was mad
-
Hierro deffinitely, I assume because he's always looked proper old.
-
The structure is more important than Howe like, Pep is great but Man City are just an incredibly well ran club from top to bottom. I think Howe has the knowlege and he will put the effort required in no doubt.

Stormed out of the pub crying as a bairn after this.

Ronaldinho was literally applauded off the pitch at the Bernabeu, he was hardly a flat track bully like He had great seasons but never had the robotic consistency of someone like Ronaldo, Lewa, or Messi, but on his day he was up there with them.
-
Surwly the Telegraph pay him a decent wedge, why's he living in the mid 2000s?
-
Potter plays possession football which is naturally harder to do with middling players. He needs to go to a top 6 side.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Amazing day in league 2 like, fucking hell -
You can pretty much see SJP from half of Gateshead The more you move over towards South Tyneside the more sunderland fans you will see I imagine, but I would be suprised if Gateshead was less than 90% black and white

I would say this is canny OTT like
-
The possitive metric for Wood is that he clearly helped Howe implament a winning style of play though - even if you could argue that any big forward would be just as good. He was a shit signing by many measures but there's no way it can be considered a disaster. Without him we might still be in a relegation scrap.
-
I'm just saying massively OTT reactions look daft when things are going well under a manager who knows what he's doing. I'm not saying Howe is 100% right here at all. It was hot take central under Pardew on here but that was absolutely fine because he deserved his every decision questioned with extreme prejudice.
-
You have absolutely no idea whether it's a crap decition or not though We all like to play armchair footy manager like but it doesn't really work when the man in charge is actually good at his job.
-
He'll only have to play 1 game a season, man. He's there to pack out the squad. Honestly it just looks completely stupid when a bunch of laymen start going overboard about the decisions of managers who clearly know what they're doing. If it was Bruce I'd get it, but Howe's shown he understands his squad now
-
Aye, it's either we keep on someone like Dummett as cover, or we go out and buy someone to fulfil the exact same, part time role. Either or it's pretty inconsequential like you say
-
He's a reliable defender providing 3rd choice cover in 2 positions. We're not realistically going to replace our entire squad and backup in the summer.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool, Saturday 30/4/2022 @ 12:30 (BT)

Haven't read it all but it's just a message suggesting people refrain from cringey shite isn't it? I don't think they're trying to police people. It's much better our own fans trying to encourage change than the FA stepping in. -
Not sure tbh, haven't watched much football the past 2 year, I think Zapata is pretty much the perfect striker for what we need but he's over 30 and will cost loads. So anyone like that I suppose.
-
I've completely changed my tune on the needs of the squad tbh, last January I thought we needed to completely overhaul our midfield but now I think the best thing going forward is to continue strengthening from the back. Obviously we need a striker too. Basically I'm hoping for a GK, CB (at least 1) & a CF who could arguably walk into any team on the planet. Strengthening other areas with youth and/or smart buys.
-
A completely fair reaction to have tbh
-
Had absolutely no idea who he was until I came back onto here and now I might as well know the kid's life story
-
What the fuck is that article, man
-
It will take 10 years to become a team like Man City or Liverpool because we need to build and then see the rewards of better infrastructure, but we could 100% be competing up there within a couple of years if we buy right. Top 6 next season should be a target. Klopp and Pep are a different level, but every other manager and team below them are prone to drop a lot of points throughout the season. I mean Arsenal and Tottenham are battling for the Champions League despite being described as shite at various stages of the season. Chelsea too.
