Left of centre. Basically played as a combattive midfielder. Could potentially be quite sexy if paired alongside anyone other than Hayden and Willock.
-
No idea why this is even questioned tbh. Lewis is like for like at best and Ritchie has been shambolic
-
The only rational I can think is that they're applying a rule from either offsides or red cards to fouls and their internal bias has allowed them to believe it. What that bias is we can speculate but if any of the officials wanted to give that it would have been given, there was no grey area around it.
-
Having a high bar for penslties would be fair enough if it was consistent.
-
Aye, I thought both today and Liverpool we actually looked like an actual team. Then a player does something mad like Willock galloping passed their fullback at 100mph into the centre circle allowing him to casually just walk towards our box.
-
Looks isolated as other than ASM (who's usually the one carrying the ball forward) we have fuck all in support. He's not the kind of striker who wants to be recieving the ball on the edge of the box with 3 defenders around him.
-
Liverpool had one of the most blatant penalties turned down against us too.
-
What's this interfering with play stuff Hoddle (and others) are cracking onabout? Like that's a rule for offsides not fouls, aye? I can understand something like that being talked about when it comes to accidental collitions but Edderson just fucking takes Fraser out in the box

I mean I'm not saying having just Jesse Lingard wins us these last 3 games like -

I can't help but think that Jesse Lingard would have cracked a few goals in the past few games like. We charge forward on the counter but have no cutting edge coming from midfield and Wilson up top by himself is looking lost. -

Happened a couple times before too. Just drop your shoulder against him and he's off chasing shadows. -
Mad how Bruce had him for years without realising he was the best ball winning midfielder in the League.

We could easily have had a couple goals this half like. -

It's completely insane like, don't think I've seen anything like it. Distance to the ball effects card decitions but not wether it's a foul. -
So now apparently a player needs to be in control of the ball for a foul to be given. Like that's what we're been told the rules are now Just making shit up as they go along of fucking live TV

Since when has fouling a player not been a freekick or penalty because they aren't near the ball like? Like they've just made that up. -

Willock falling for every dummy -
We're actually looking potentially dangerous on the counter here. Individual errors aside we actually have a clear plan now it seems and if we can keep the scorline respectable I'd feel a lot better than after the Leicester game.

Both at fault, Clark should be nowhere near the pitch though. Howe again starts him and within 10 minutes again he's shown why it's a mistake -
@neesy111 That never happens though and play has always been stopped when there's a head injury. It wouldn't be stopped during the actual corner, but once it's been cleared from the box the ref should stop play like.

He's probably putting TAA off just as much in fairness. It's just typical Dean putting himself in stupid positions because he likes to run around like a pantomime villain. Would be interesting to have cameras in the VAR room so we can see their process during decisions though. I cannot see any reasons why they should be kept a secret.
-
Now is just a really odd time to be saying this stuff. The further he's up the pitch the worse he looks but despite that he's still been our best player over the past couple of month. Maybe he gets replaced in Jan, or the summer, or maybe his end product will improve as we do as a team (assuming we do).

I hope Mike Dean's ma accidentally sends him a picture of her arsehole.
