Hearing he's been killed.
-
Didn't @Village Idiotsay his attitude has actually been good at Barca too? Like that isn't the reason he's been shite for them.
-
He gets a load of free advertising from this place like
-
Creased. Hope we emphasise to players that this training ground situation is temporary like

I doubt £35m is our final offer but I would be surprised if we go too high above it. £35m is a really strong offer for a 21 year old CB who's played 1 season in a top league. Under Ashley we would go in with pointless opening bids which not only wouldn't be accepted, but probably just put other clubs off doing business with us. It was like they thought they'd cracked it all, offer someone a grand for their brand new Ferrari, get knocked back, but then they'll be amazed by your second offer of £7k and will immediately sell up.
-
By the sounds of things he doesn't have the pace or mobility of VVD though does he? Botman looks completely fit to make it in the Prem like but VVD is a bit of an outlier given his height and how mobile he is.
-
Aye but the point is we've went in with an initial offer which more than matches the players worth. In the past we would start with a derisory offer and then come back with further derisory offers until the window shuts. Now we're starting off with a completely fair offer so I would be suprised if we add too much more on top.

£35m is a lot of money for a young defender who's never played in the Prem like. Obviously Lille are under no obligation to accept it, he's more than proven himself to them, but I cannot see us just throwing more money at them after seeing how the Trippier deal has been handled.
-
Seems like they've smashed this deal like.
-
You've probably just forgotten a bit tbh HTT. Cabaye had just won the league with Lille and there was a lot of buzz about him on here at the time like. (Unless it's me that's misremembering )
-
If all things were equal I'd say Ben Arfa then Cabaye would be the most exciting signings like. It was crazy when we signed Ben Arfa especially. Trippier is a great full back but the reason this is so exciting is because of the intent it shows as well as how it's shut down the talk from the typical morons that even with our insane wealth nobody will want to come here.

If it's legit then it's pretty hard not to read into though. If Liverpool put a bid in for ASM which we rejected, and then ASM started liking posts about Liverpool, I think we'd all assume he wanted away.
-
Hayden wanted to leave before (for family reasons?) and we forced him to stay like
-
29 points would have been enough last season but in general it's about 35 points I think. It was that the previous 2 seasons. This stage of the season in 18/19 Burnley were on 12 points yet stayed up comfortably with 40.

Impressions are the lowest level of comedy like.

Had no idea Neves was only 24 like, assumed he was pushing 30.
-
Graves is paid to advertise for Sky not the Telegraph though.

I just feel like nowadays the distance between someone like Rafa and your average top level manager has shortened massively. On top of that managers are getting younger and more data driven. World Class is a pretty strong term I'd say when we you look at what other managers are doing atm.
-
Is this from Nicolo deodorant tin lid worthy?
-
That Chicken Flatbread at Barnsley looks fucking decent like.
-
A club obviously has to be able to pay a footballer competitive wages but there's plenty reasons why they would join a specific club. I would assume in Trippier's case it's mostly for money and security like given his age but I'm pretty sure he could have fucked off to China/Middle East a long time ago of money was the only factor.
-
Countless examples this isn't true like.
-
We constantly go on about other fans/pundits etc telling us whats right for our club and then we do the exact same Fair enough they weren't the most welcoming but even with their squad issues he's not doing a great job. Their local derby are one of the best teams on the planet and they obviously want to try and complete with them, Rafa doesn't look the manager for that. As much as I loved him here I really didn't want him back after the takeover.
-
Tbf I think we're probably similar, just without the success or influence to where our winging (I'd argue mosty justified) is actually taken serious.
-
Howe's decision making on players was patchy at best when he arrived here like (weird lineups), and obviously there's questions over whoever was advising him and I'm assuming they're the same people who will be involved in recruitment now until we get a DoF in?
