The whole thing is disgusting like. I'm mainly onabout the footballing side more so that the political side. If this happened to Villa instead this forum would be full of the same stuff we're reading about us. Football is fucked, so I don't care too much now, but this is deffinitely not how I wanted us to win things (if we do) 10 year ago.
-
Any club's fans will rightfully hate what has happened with us as it's absolutely disgusting. It's not our, or even NUFCs fault though. It's impossible to defend on most fronts though, we just have to accept it and enjoy the fact we just randomly won the lottery.

Eriksen didn't put fuck loads of graft in, risking his own health, to finish his career at Brentford like.
-
The players they played alongside were shite in comparison to modern footballers playing in a much faster game, so it's hard to judge them in comparison to modern counterparts. Gayle was a god in the Championship and one of the worst strikers we've ever had in the Prem.

This is Sewelly's point though isn't it?

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Got no time for cryptic cunts like, let PSG have him. -
Things are better down to an academy level though so across the board the standard of players will be much higher today. I mean the Championship today is probably a better standard of football than Div 1 in the 70s. I agree you would still have to imagine that the cream of the crop from any generation would be great at any point in time though. Maths init.

Aye, the fitness/tactics thing goes 2 ways to tbf, it's a shame there's no real way we can understand how players would fair in a different generation. The rolling around in the modern game is tactical though, I think Dalglish would be doing the same thing today, as hard as it probably is to imagine

The Dutch have a pretty crazy selection of CBs.
-
I mean it's all hypothetical like due to the improvements in fitness and tactics, didn't realise Rush had broke the 30 goal mark twice though!
-
The front 3 would be Salah, Suarez & Mane like, howay man. Edit: Barnes for Mane mayebe, but Salah and Suarez are/were absurd.
-
Ah right, pretty sure I actually read that post last night Fair enough I'm sorry @Milanista. I've watched about 20 games of football in the last 2 years so I'm not sure ehy I was giving it the big cunt FWIW I don't think Botman would be against signing for Milan at all

Wheres this I've missed it?

Boring as fuck pick but Shearer.
-
That's the thing. Spurs' attack is already absolutely disgusting. Obviously it would improve them but it's not transformative.
-
It's proper embracing. Even more so seeing our fans trying to enable it, as if calling out blatant, virtue signalling nonsense is incorrect. I imagine it's possible to criticise the takeover, and inform the general public of human rights issues without being an absolute creep. Like one of the reason's I'm against animal captivity, and places like Seaworld, is because of well made media like Blackfish (I mean more than just that, but you know). Not because of some fucking tatie 'pwning' sports personalities with a massive, shit eating grin on his face.

What site is that, Rich?

I think we need atleast one pacy CB on the books (I don't know if Ibanez is tbf?) Joe Gomez or a random forrin would do
-
Might as well pair Jose up with "Post-cancer" Jonas

I don't know the full picture, but if there is any possibility of any other owner coming in the fans should be trying their hardest to make sure Ashley gets nowhere near their club like. It's pure delusion if they think they'll be anything other than miserable under him and once he's there he's only leaving on his own terms. I (and many others) literally stopped watching football because of him
-
It is proper depressing seeing fans of other clubs writing thoughtful, respectful posts only to have people on here telling them they're talking "waffle" like I doubt there's any football fan born in the 90s or before who doesn't love AC Milan tbh, they're a mythical team. The Serie A has fallen massively behind the Premier League in recent years though, but hopefully the rebirth of the clubs in Milan is a sign things are on the rise. The Champions League is much better with them competing (Roma and Juve too).

At the end of the day, I think that if Sven turns us down, whoever his replacement is will be a bigger name in football within 2-4 years. Bruno gets it.

Been a rollercoaster of a day for the poor little Rossoneri.

So about that loan to buy, Reims...
