We need a CDM (every team does tbf) and the fact we haven't got one is criminal. Until then though we need to find a way to prevent teams from bullying us. I don't know, going 3 in the middle with possibly Hayden coming in seems the easiest option. Willock either on the bench or switch his position with Joelinton, he should be nowhere near the centre of the pitch though.

We don't need to play Bruce ball. Joelinton looks worse the further up the pitch he is yet we're playing him in a front 2 whilst our midfield is getting run over.

There are plenty ways we can change things to make us more combative in the middle like. Joelinton could play deeper in a midfield 3 for one. Hayden is shite on the ball but infinitely better than Willock at breaking up play for another.

Our best performance was with 10 men after forced changes and he went ahead and dropped Fede after it for some reason. He needs his own team which he'll partially get in January, but until that hapoens he cannot continue to have us performing this bad and not have us question his decisions

We've looked absolutely shite against a Leicester side who have barely even been playing. I want Howe to do well as he seems like he has a lot of good ideas but there's no way we look this consistently clueless with Emery in charge.

No idea why he's even in the side. We're short of options but you can put literally any other player, including Karl Darlo, in his place and we'll be no worse off.

Happened a ridiculous amount lately. The Arsenal game was insane but there's been about a dozen incidents in recent weeks where the referee has just allowed our players to get pulled down only to give a free kick for the same thing 10 seconds later or before.

I just don't see how it reduces the chances by any meaningful margin. They're with each other every day. They went for a meal at a resteraunt instead. It would have made more sence to just get pissed in Eddis Howe's garden if reducing the risk or covid was absolute priority. Like I've said though my initial post was due to getting the wrong end of the stick.

I don't see how covid affects a gathering of people who work together daily like. It can change the venue but there's no real difference in people coming to work or coming in to have a social meeting.

If I was working for a company though and they told me "performances are down so we're cancelling the Christmas party" it would just piss me off, not motivate me to work harder. I heard it in the pub so never got the full story, thought it was a bit of a PFM move but it seems like he's just scaled it back which is fair enough.

It was but I've read he took them out for a bonding meal instead which is fair enough. You can have a non-alcoholic, low key Chrisas 'party' (which it seems he's done), it doesn't have to be a radge piss up.
